The full version is predictably illegaly online somewhere, found it and heard it. Kinda like this version, but why should a remix be on a new album? |

It's likely a toss-off piece, destined to be forgotten by the second week of September. There's been no word of any promotional activities whatsoever, so it's going to come and go like a fart in a jacuzzi. That's why he's not breaking his back to record a new masterpieceā¢, he'd rather give the reigns to Kirky J MkII and go cash that cheque from Tidal before it bounces. |

I heard this version at Paisley Park back in April. The way Hannah was hyping this song, I guess I don't know what I was expecting, but not this. That same night they played remixes of CLOUDS, FIXURLIFEUP, PRETZELBODYLOGIC, AND BOYTROUBLE. That crap better not be on this album. I'll take REVELATION though.
He had all these remixes of trax from the last 2 LPs back then but didn't use them to promote the albums and the "tour"?!?
Sometimes the lack of logic is astounding...
That said I'm kind of meh on this remix. I'm digging the guitar solo, so, there's that.
I'm also thinking that my definitions of the words "experimental" & "trippy" are not universal.

it's crazy, isn't it?
how hard would it have been to sell a remix EP on 3rdeyetunes.com? it would have fleshed out the whole feel of the albums. but nah. we'll get those remixes on a new album instead
i wonder if the fixurlifeup remix will be on '3rd eye girl's sophomore release'
havig said all that, i don't really care as long as there are about 8 strong tracks on the album and i still hold out hope since i totally love HARDROCKLOVER and X'SFACE and true love lives on lollipops and crisps |

Fatboy Slim is still innovative. And funky. If only P would collaborate with him. Bootsy's collaborations are my favorite "Keep That Funk Alive" "Weapon Of Choice" "Illuminati" "The Bomb" even "The Joker".

Because he hasn't had this many good new tracks that are also perfect for a live show. All three sound like they would kill live. When was the last time that has happened? The 80's?

One of the top 3 songs of the past 4 years. I like this a lot. It's waaaaayyyy better than the original. I do agree with point that he probably could've just written some new lyrics and used them with this music rather than putting a couple year old meme on it. That said, it works really well, and I'm ok with this being on the new album. "Love & honesty, peace & harmony" |

I hope Revelation is on the new album otherwise I give up lol
Yes, all those remixes were like dance versions to me. Pump, pump, pump. If Revelation is on it, that would make me very happy. I also like Shut This Down and Million Dollar Show. Not sure what else is going to be on it, but hopefully If I Could Get Your Attention will be too. Big Taja fan here. I know Taja was at Paisley Park last summer, would be interesting to know if that had anything to do with him rerecording it. TRUE BLUE |

Bass! Bottom! Dynamic range! WOW I thought Prince couldnt hear certain things anymore. Oh this is a huge improvement. This one I wouldn't acuse Prince of going deaf. The mix is far far better. The thin amatuerish repulsive AOA sound is stripped away! Maybe Jay Z offered professional studio help so as to not scare away his customers. This I can hear on the radio, the other version in Guantanimo.
So 3 for 3 so far, Stare, Hardrocklover and TCBU. I understand these tracks are not going well with the six vocal people who love AOA, but for the general audience, this is far far better/not repulsive. I can play these tracks in the car with other people without feeling embarased for Prince ...and for myself for playing it in front of innocent people. Love it. Love the extended ending. Now this sounds like the Prince that makes the top of all of those lists.
This could be the best Prince album is many many years.

after listening to this again I feel even more strongly this version is much better than that sacharin laden original. Hoenstly i still dont love his vocal. It would have been great if he sang it in his lower register and dirtied it up a bit
That being said it sounds very electro funk...very much in keeping with X's Face and Hardrocklover. I am curious to see how he fits these songs into a concept
Hes got my attention and I think working with Josh is getting him out of his comfort zone and thats a good thing. Dance... Let me see you dance |

Hey I am all for different mixes of tunes, but putting this one on the next album is just odd. I am sure the bulk of fans would rather have a new song on there is place of this one. I mean how weird would a batman remix have been on graffiti bridge? The new version of this song should have been released as a one off, like Stare.
