Romeoblu	This Could Be Us New version now on Tidal. (Update - Google Play and iTunes too) The new version of This Could be us is now on on Tidal. I would class this as a remix. Romeoblu	Cuts off at the end abruptly. It's heavier and more electronic than the original. Some nice guitar work. I'm enjoying it more with each listen. [Edited 8/25/15 8:41am]

Thanks, I checked it out. About what I was expecting, but I don't hate it. Def Josh's work imo. Look forward to hearing the whole thing.

I'm thinking pretty much the same. Withholding judgement until I hear the full version - just hope it doesn't sound like an Emancipation cast-off again...

Prince releases new version of 'This Could B Us' on Tidal

After dropping hints about a new album all summer, Prince announced earlier this month that his next record, HITNRUN, willdebut on TIDAL in September. Its first single, “HARDROCKLOVER,” came out last month, followed by the “Kiss”-inspired “Stare,” and now he’s released a new single, “This Could B Us,” exclusively on Tidal.

Prince fans may recognize the song and throwback album cover from his 2014 track, “This Could Be Us,” which appeared on Art Official Age. During an interview visit to Paisley Park last week, Prince and his co-producer Joshua Welton told EW they wanted to reimagine the track from Art Official Age with new production and a new vibe. They agree it’s definitely more trippy and industrial, with a harder, dubstep beat.

I have listened to it all and its just a remix with a nice guitar solo in it. It ok, but why put it on his new album ?It belongs on a remix ep or something.

ok, so it's not something they came up with a week before they handed the thing to tidal.

which makes me think, why not release it to soundcloud or whatever in spring, when it'd

have been a bit more promo for AOA?

as it is, i would have liked to see it released back then, or at the most, in this version the

second half of it could be stuck onto another song as a coda, or function as a segue or an

instrumental interlude on the new album, as a bit of a wink and a nod to AOA.

doesn't make sense to me at all to have this on a new album. but i guess if X's Face isn't

on the album i can just replace it. even if it does fit 'in the context of the album' i find it a

weird inclusion. especially since they make so much music, all of the time.

Well you certainly cannot listen to Hannah , she loves everything that her husband does. It was one of the highlights of the album for her. It belongs on a old fashioned 12" or ep, and thats all you can say about it. Hopfully he will do it live with a guitar solo. but i am not holding my breath!

On the strength of the sample, I'll hold off until the rest of the album is out. Not feeling the beat. He should'a just left well alone and work on another song, but whatevs. I can wait bored2 .

Hmmm...I wasn't wild about the original but this is worse.

Would have been better suited for a "This Could B Us XPerience" EP. My 2¢.
