Both versions are quite good, it all depends on your taste in music and I enjoy remixes for what they are. This one truly sounds like it would have been a better version for AOA.

I've just signed up to tidal and heard the remix. I like it.

There are some genuinely memorable moments, the piano riff is simple and catchy, the vocal fade is used nicely, the bit where the guitar/synth just climbs to inaudible levels is awesome.

IMO, a marked improvement over the original.

I love this version. This is one of my favs on the HnR.

I don't think this deserves to be on the new album, it doesn't have enough legs to really transform the song in to a new entity. It kind of sets out its stall early on with the piano riff and the beat and the vocal pitch shifts etc, then kind of ambles through the first verse and chorus but then doesn't know what else it should do. Prince tries to inject some life with a nice little rhythmn riff and that great solo, but the whole thing to me screams "unnecessary" and would have been a cool little remix on an EP, like the Cream remixes, but is not strong enough to stand next to the rest of the album.

I much prefer the original and think it is vastly superior to this bit of studio tinkering.

I read somewhere either in a review or on the org that this song is a waste of a great guitar solo, and I agree, also find it annoying how the final note is pitch-shifted for no reason.

I wonder if this track is the one that Josh auditioned on? It sounds different enough for Prince to think "I wouldn't have done this, interesting" - without giving him pause to think - "and there's a reason for that."

TCBU was a minor hit & has evvry right 2 b revamped 4 HitnRun. MANY artist remixes their hits 4 a revamped follow up ep...

What makes any different to try it? He did it 4 the MEGA hit TMBGITW in 1994. That was included on two additionl projects of his as new completely different mixes...He is so brilliant & prolific that he can't decide which to use. He also did that 4 the sexy ballad "Dark" & the Hit "LOVESIGN".

This could have been a whole new song and I might have liked it quite a lot. Sad, because this is maybe my favorite song from Art Official, but here it seems like a waste.

I could imagine it much like When 2 R In Love, sharing a place on two different but related albums, but the way this one is done it doesn't feel so much like common ground as filler. The other song on the album that could be accused of this, Mr Nelson, instead feels fresh but still related to the source material, building on the idea rather than re-using it.

Really, really love this version. The us-us-us-us part sounds like he's crying. I think it's brilliant.
