Exactly I am sure his deal with Tidal gives him opportunity to move single songs around on other platforms. They are so stuck on CDs that they cannot see how win win this is for Prince and how so few other artist have this control over distrubution of their music. Since it showed up on Apple I gave it a listen finally. Wow...this track is so not necessary. The original is a good song. No need for all the sound effects.

Ok - heard the whole thing on Apple Music, and pretty much agree with general sentiment. It's not a disaster. Just totally uncessary, not really very current/expermiental and not the kind of thing you'd ever use to tease a new album.

Yeah this is a fairly shitty "feature" of Google Play Music as when downloading on mobile they basically lock off the tracks from being used on any other app. If you want to get your proper DRM-free copy you need to go to google play in your web browser on a pc, go to the music section, and if you're signed in there should be an option to click "my music", go there and find the track and then hover your mouse over it, and then click on the 3 dots in a vertical line that appear to the right of the track name, and there should be an option to download the album. Then you'll get an MP3 download to your computer which you can put on your phone. So yeah, you really have to jump through hoops if you want to have proper access to your music on mobile, dunno why they insist on such a shitty system.

I actually prefer this 'remixed' version than the AOA version. I could do w/o the 'thi-thi-thi-this' & 'u-u-u-u-us' part but, the version on AOA kind of dragged on a bit for me, I like both versions but prefer the updated one. I too wish he would've re-recorded some vocals with a deeper voice, but he obvioulsy likes his original performance.

I think this will be an interesting release & very much looking forward to what's in store.
