Think Todd Haley won't be there next year.

Can't get cute against a fast defense like that. He tried that toss sweep/outlet pass to Bell at least a half dozen times and they ran it down every time. Too much speed.

Bell was bottled up, because between the playcalling, the strength of the Jags' D-Line and the speed of the Jags' back seven, and the early hole PIT dug itself, he could never get it going.

At the end of the day, Steeler Nation wants blood after this exit, and somebody is going to have to take the fall. It'll likely be Haley, and maybe even Butler.

Ben Roethlisberger states he is coming back to the Steelers next season

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a lot of questions heading into next season, but the future of Ben Roethlisberger isn’t reportedly one of them.

Philip G. Pavely-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers now enter an offseason filled with questions. One of the questions on most fans’ minds is the future of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Roethlisberger hinted at retirement after losing in the 2016 AFC Championship game, but after the team’s divisional round loss to the Jaguars Sunday, he told Ron Cook of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette he plans on returning.

Roethlisberger returning is a huge factor in the team’s future plans, and certainly in how they will enter the NFL Draft; however, it doesn’t answer questions about some of the other stars, and one offensive coordinator, on the team heading into next season.

Will the team look for a quarterback in the upcoming NFL Draft? Will the team try and keep the core nucleus on offense together as long as possible by paying Le’Veon Bell big money this offseason? A lot of questions to be answered, but with Roethlisberger planning on returning, you can cross one big question off the lengthy list.

PA is still going to the Super Bowl so you know what I'm saying. I'll be glad
when Philly kick the dog shit out of the Vikings next week so we won't hear no more of that Vikings shit this season. Divine intervention won't save their ass this week.

Hell yes. I would call for Butler's head before Haley. Haley I could live with
as long as he isn't allowed to call plays on 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1. lol
Tomlin deserves to take heat for the shitty decisions made that cost the team the game. Fired no. Blame hell yes. And Artur Rooney needs to step in and say hey there is gonna be some change not wholesale changes personnel wise and staff wise.
The defense even with Shazier struggled at times particularly when Haden went down. Then Shazier goes down and Haden comes back and the defense is still sporadic because of the lack of speed at linebacker. Then the James Harrison episode which is a head scratcher. We know the guy had lost a step but you can't coach his intangibles and leadership and you basically resigned him to be a bench warmer. Not to mention the players running off at the mouth before the game. Mitchell please be gone. He's an embarrassment to himself and the organization. This shit is a reflection of the head coach.

My interest in the Super Bowl would be higher with the Jags vs the NFC winner. I don't even wanna see the Patriots play more or less see those bastards in the Super Bowl. Yes Jags beat their ass. At the very least punish bitch ass Brady.

Todd Haley will not return as Pittsburgh Steelers OC

Todd Haley is out in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers are allowing their offensive coordinator to walk, sources told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport on Wednesday. Technically, it's not a firing as Haley's contract expired after the season, bringing his successful six-year run with the team to an end.

The move comes as no great surprise, with whispers surrounding Haley's fate for weeks. The play-caller helped author some of the finest work yet from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, but the duo struggled to get along.

"The relationship has been strained so much," Rapoport noted Wednesday on NFL Network, that the Steelers were forced to bring quarterbacks aide Randy Fichtner down to the sideline "to serve as a conduit" between Big Ben and Haley. Their union stood in sharp contrast to the one Roethlisberger shared with close friend and former coordinator Bruce Arians.

Haley's departure comes one day after Roethlisberger revealed during his radio show that he wasn't allowed to audible out of Haley's play calls, saying that rule came directly from Tomlin.

"I have asked for it. I am fine with it. If they want to call it, I'm all for it," Roethlisberger told NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala.

Perhaps that will change in a post-Haley world, with Big Ben operating as one of the most experienced signal-callers league-wide.

It's unclear where Haley -- the former Chiefs coach -- will wind up, but his departure could potentially trigger a promotion for Steelers offensive line coach Mike Munchak, who declined a second interview for the head-coaching vacancy in Arizona.

I don't agree with Ben shading his coaching staff so publicly but now I see why he did it. And I'm not a fan of his personally.

But that's an insult to the 15-year vet, future HOFer, 2-time SB champ and most prolific passer the franchise has ever seen.

It's still funny that they scored 42 points on the No. 1 defense in the league and it's the OC that's out, and not the DC, whose defense allowed 38 points to an offense led by Blake Bortles.

If Tomlin makes the move too late, he could be going out the door as well. The minority owners are turning up the heat, and anything less than a 12-4 season and conference title appearance in 2018 could mean curtains.

The Rooney's hate to fire a head coach, maybe the last time they did was in the 1960's maybe, not sure. Why Marvin Lewis is not fired I have no idea (Bengals suck)

QB coach Randy Finchtner seems to be a leading candidate as well but it must

be a reason Muchak has turned down 2 interviews for the HC job in Arizona.
