I think they've been generous considering the legal and contractual messs that Prince's music was left in. There has been a lot of "new" music. As for radio play, I think they missed an opportunity when the alt version of Forever In My Life was released. I think it had radio potential.

W2A was only released in late July. Arguably, there are longer periods of no new Prince music than this.

Namely, the Do Me Baby one track single and the Sony catalogue reissues, it's so important to have that new label on it. And there is also the SOTT Target release, on February too, IIRC? I don't follow your logic? Why do they have to wait for those batches to be released before making the next announcment?

*If* the forthcoming stuff was a *major* release, such as another Super Deluxe or an unrleased album like W2A, then yes, of course they'd wait for that major release to hit the shelves before annoucing the next item in the queue.

But simply reissuing stuff on a new label? And issuing a cassette single? I don't see those things precluding them from annoucing the next *major* release. Back issues won't be in direct competition with a Super Deluxe.

In fact, annoucing the next major release could help generate interest in Prince's back-catalogue, which would boost sales of the Sony re-issues.

And where would you find those precious vinyls? On the Mars planet ? In the Twilight Zone? Aren't you aware there's a worldwide problem of availability and increasing prices? How would you sell a 13/15 vinyls boxset when it's 30$ by vinyls? There's not one freaking vinyl left for our Princey.

I'm not a vinyl collecter, so it didn't occur to me to factor that in.

I heard somewhere that Parade Super Deluxe was either being released or announced in April. I genuinely can't remember which or even who told me that in the first place. I don't really pay attention to these kinds of things. The whole thing could be bullshit for all I know.

yeah,I heard that rumor too but I also heard that it will be 'Diamonds and Pearls' .

Too many rumors and alot of speculaton.This is why I think the estate should clarify things and make an announcement now.

- finding the audio, choose versions, sequencing, etc

- send audio to mastering studio

- review audio and send off to pressing plant

- review testpressing

- press CD's

- meanwhile artwork and such can be designed, produced, etc
