They should. Cards are taking a step back this year. If the offense avoids turnovers, no reason the 49ers can't grab the division.

I'm rooting for the Bengals. I just wish they were playing the Cowboys in the regular season so TO could light they asses up. pout

Saints are still the class of the NFC, even without Sharper.

I'll miss not seeing Flo' committ a few holding calls(or an unsportsmanlike penalty) to kill an drive. biggrin

Looks good on paper but could be fool's gold. Fact is no team since the inception of the NFC South

has won the division back to back. Atlanta will be breathing down their backs.

Tampa while improved is not ready to challenge for the division crown but beat the

Saints in their backyard late last season. The Panthers are better than people expect but they

are very green at QB. They generally have had the Saints number over the last 4 or 5 seasons.

The Saints defense can be up and down sometimes. I don't trust their defense yet. Also as great

is Drew Brees and their offense is sometimes you live by the sword(pass), you die by the sword.

Drew Brees on the cover of Madden . . . . Kiss the season goodbye. I bet he doesn't make it past midseason.

All of which gives Atlanta the division. The Panthers are not better than everyone expects.

Teams seem to split in the division also. I still see the Saints going 4-2 in the division, being swept by the Falcons.

They are. Their quarterback play is gonna be their downfall. Their front seven is better

than given credit. Their defense is faster and swarm to the ball. I know it was just preseason

but did you see how they bottled up Chris Johnson the 3rd preseason week. DE Everett Brown

and LB Jon Beason are beasts. Yes, Atlanta could very well win the NFC South this season.

The question for tonight is, will Favre last the entire game? You know Gregg Williams will turn up the heat.

Mark it down, Cincy wins it ALL!

My boy Ced Benson goes 4 over 2,000 yards & 25 td's. (barring injury of course)

In the AFC......not the Bengals razz .......my heart wants to go with Jacksonville since I went to school With Jack Del Rio but I actually think the Colts or Jets.

NFC I will be rooting for the 49ers (ALWAYS) but I think it will be either the Packers or the Saints.

______ O'Connor does not ring an immediate bell....I was a Freshman when Jack was a Senior but I knew him from before then. I played with/against Jack's youngest brother Jamie on several baseball teams.

Also in Jack's graduating class was Don Wakamatsu who was the Manager for the Seatle Martiners this year until he got fired.

Wait....I do know a Charlie O'Connell....
