Bad week to have been a Jets fan. First, they get their trash-talking asses handed to them on a platter (think Rex Ryan will talk smack about Ray Lewis again? LOL), then they're the scourge of the country because of the way they harrassed that Spanish TV reporter.
Guess making themselves a big ol' target might not have been such a good idea.

Have you seen that chick???? She's not a journalist and constantly dresses like a hooker/stripper around athletes. I haven't heard ANY real details about what they allegedly did to her so I'm reserving judgment.

Feldman: Did The Jets Harass Reporter?Updated: Tuesday, 14 Sep 2010, 2:56 PM EDT PHILADELPHIA - Mexican sports reporter Ines Sainz claims she was harassed by Jets football team players and coaches. Sainz, who calls herself "the hottest sports reporter in Mexico," said she was exposed to cat calls, stares, and over thrown passes that landed next to her at practice last Saturday.
Attorney Amy Feldman told Mike and Sheinelle she "disagrees with the notion she can wear whatever she wants to wear and get the attention that has rocketed her to the top of her profession. And then be surprised when people are giving her exactly the type of attention that that outfit is designed to get. I don't believe this is a blame the victim sort of way when you have people who are dressing like that who get where they want to be in their profession by utilizing all their assets."
Feldman continued "if you're not going to dress like a professional, then don't expect to be treated like a professional." Feldman is disappointed that no one is telling Sainz "you have gotten exactly the type of attention that you are seeking do not now say how dare you they."
Feldman explained in a sexual harassment claim there are two criteria that must be met. First, is what was said objectively offensive? And second, was the victim subjectively offended by it? Feldman said "that's a much more difficult case to prove when you go around dressing to get exactly that attention." Team owner Woody Johnson says he has apologized to Sainz. The NFL is looking into the allegations.
Yeah, she's dressed like someone who wants to be taken seriously as a sports reporter. Bitch, please. . .

The Eagles? Yeah right. I'm not a Cowboys fan by any means but these guys were down two starting offensive linemen including their LT. If those two guys play the cowboys win this game. Don't laugh at my funk

I picked the Bears to win the game but hell what didn't the refs see. Calvin Johnson clearly came down with possession of the ball with one hand. The ball was not moving at all. He palmed the shit out of the football with one hand. Terrible call. That call was worse than the Tuck rule shit with Tom Brady in that playoff game with the Raiders several years ago. The tuck rule game was much worse. It cost the Raiders a shot at the Super Bowl.

Reporter Lady | |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Exactly. If she was a serious journalist, she wouldn't be dressed like someone looking for attention. When you go into a mens locker room dressed like that, you're going to get attention. Everyone's all PC-pussified and afraid to tell it like it is. This is the same attention whore who went to the Super bowl dressed in a wedding gown asking Tom Brady to marry her.
..and LOL @ the NFL's 'investigation'. This is the same league that has half-naked cheerleaders on the sideline.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Is that the same wedding dress chick??? She's obviously an attention whore and the NFL is playing her game.
I think most of the "attention" she got was on the practice field not in the locker room. Chicks like this make it hard on women who experience REAL sexual harrassment in the workplace. What the fuck is she doing with a press pass anyway, they don't play American football in Mexico. Again, bitch please.

My bad, it was another Inez.

I of course don't know what all that went down with the young lady how claims she was taunted by Jets player. The investigation by the NFL of what may have happened will probably clear this up.
It doesn't make a damn bit of difference what a womens wears, it doesn't give anyone the right to sexually harass her nor insult her. Period.

So many injuries...Ryan Grant, Kris Jenkins and Hunter Hillenmeyer are done for the year, Kevin Boss is out with a concussion, Bob Sanders tore a biceps tendon....damn. And the league wants an 18-game season - are they fucking kidding?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
But this is the first game, not the 16th. Should they cancel the season to prevent further injuries? It's not the number of games, . . . . I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

From what I've heard she got some cat dalls and they threw some footballs in her direction. I don't think anyone touched her or spoke to her directly. In general, I agree with you that it doesn't matter what a woman wears BUT if you dress like this AND call yourself the "hottest sports reporter" and allow players to carry you on their shoulders, I don't want to hear shit when you get catcalls and some male attention. If you REALLY don't want the attention don't dress like a ho around a bunch of dudes in a locker room when you are supposed to be working as a professional journalist. [Edited 9/15/10 9:08am]

What Happened to Reporter Inside NY Jets Locker Room?
NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Ines Sainz says she never felt like she was "attacked" when she entered the New York Jets locker room on Saturday to interview quarterback Mark Sanchez.
"In my opinion, I never felt I was attacked," the Mexican sportscaster told Spanish-language program DeporTV on Monday. "I went to the locker room and started to talk about commentary and sports. Another reporter approached me to say he was sorry these things were happening...and that evidently people were making fun of me."
Prior to her presence in the locker room - where players called out to the TV Azteca reporter - footballs were thrown in her direction by a Jets coach during practice.
She told TV Azteca that though she was embarrassed, she didn't take it to heart and didn't realize it was going to become such a big deal, according to CNN.
"It was definitely a joking tone, very amicable," Sainz said in an interview with a colleague. "I wasn't offended."
On Sunday, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said that the league and the Jets began looking into the situation when they were made aware of it Saturday night.
The Jets released a statement about the incident, saying that they "will continue to work with the League to gather the facts and take any appropriate steps necessary to maintain a respectful environment for the media."
The statement says owner Woody Johnson spoke to Sainz on Sunday to discuss the incident, and that he "stressed to Ines that he expects all members of the Jets organization to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times."

What I don't get is that she's saying she wasn't uncomfortable OR threatened, yet it was her own tweets to the contrary that started this investigation in the first place.

You're right about this political correctness shit going overboard. America is really turning into a nation of big ol' punks. Especially when someone speaks the unvarnished truth, which isn't always nice, then is forced to issue an insincere apology for speaking the truth and some hall monitor organization has shit to say even tho the person is telling the truth. Case in point, Clinton Portis speaking on this incident.
Meantime, Portis, the outspoken running back for the Washington Redskins, said in his weekly appearance on 106.7 The Fan: "I think you put women reporters in the locker room in position to see guys walking around naked, and you sit in the locker room with 53 guys, and all of the sudden you see a nice woman in the locker room. I think men are going to tend to turn and look and want to say something to that woman." The NFL swiftly chastised Portis. "The comments are clearly inappropriate, offensive, and have no place in the NFL," league spokesman Greg Aiello said in an e-mail. Then the Redskins issued a statement by Portis, who said he was "wrong to make the comments" and that he respects the job reporters do. The Redskins said they "will take the necessary steps" to remind players about acting in a professional manner. The Association for Women in Sports Media said it was in contact with the NFL about Portis' remarks and appreciated the league's swift response.

You are far off topic. Uptown never said anything about canceling the season to prevent injuries. He's saying just like one of the warriors of the game Ray Lewis stated adding an extra 2 games to the season is not going to be beneficial to the players. As great as these athletes are, their bodies can only stand so much physical punishment. Remember Jerome Bettis last year in the league. After games dude could barely walk up the stairs is his own home. Earl Campbell can't walk without a limp as a result of taking so many hits.
Don't laugh at my funk

Fuck a limp, Earl needs assistance to walk PERIOD. I saw him 2 years ago at a high school game in Austin and he was like a 90 year old man going up the stadium steps. It was a sad, sad sight. Extending the season is just plain ol' greedy and will have an adverse impact on players.

Yep. This is all about the owners' greed. They can't sell pre-season games, so they want two more regular-season games. Players union should not go for it.
