Yep. This is all about the owners' greed. They can't sell pre-season games, so they want two more regular-season games. Players union should not go for it.

Isn't this a done deal tho?

Bad week to have been a Jets fan. First, they get their trash-talking asses handed to them on a platter (think Rex Ryan will talk smack about Ray Lewis again? LOL), then they're the scourge of the country because of the way they harrassed that Spanish TV reporter.

Guess making themselves a big ol' target might not have been such a good idea.

Have you seen that chick???? She's not a journalist and constantly dresses like a hooker/stripper around athletes. I haven't heard ANY real details about what they allegedly did to her so I'm reserving judgment.

Ummmm, I couldn't get past her rump.

I picked the Bears to win the game but hell what didn't the refs see.

Calvin Johnson clearly came down with possession of the ball with one hand.

The ball was not moving at all. He palmed the shit out of the football with one

hand. Terrible call. That call was worse than the Tuck rule shit with Tom Brady

in that playoff game with the Raiders several years ago.

The tuck rule game was much worse. It cost the Raiders a shot at the Super Bowl.

I will never forget that damn play as long as I live. pissed

But this is the first game, not the 16th.

Should they cancel the season to prevent further injuries?

It's not the number of games, . . . .

You are far off topic. Uptown never said anything about canceling the season to prevent injuries.

He's saying just like one of the warriors of the game Ray Lewis stated adding an

extra 2 games to the season is not going to be beneficial to the players.

As great as these athletes are, their bodies can only stand so much physical punishment.

Remember Jerome Bettis last year in the league. After games dude could barely walk

up the stairs is his own home. Earl Campbell can't walk without a limp as a result of taking

so many hits.

I never said anyone said anything about cancelling the season to prevent injuries.

It was a question not a quote . . . . .

I understand what he was saying but if the point is that an 18 game season results in more injuries, how does that explain injuries in the first week?

An injury is an injury regardless of when it occurs.

Are there more injuries in Week 16, than in Week One? If so, is that because of the length of the season?

Yeah, these athletes are tore up when they retire. Elway eats pills all day, every day.

But playing the game is also a choice and they know the risk. They assume the risk for the rewards.

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Please tell me or did i miss something.

Why was Julius Peppers fined for an illegal hit on Matthew Stafford?

It looked like a clean legal hit to me. Roger Goodell has this strict

conduct policy but yet he's pussifying the league and qb's particularly.

If Peppers got fined for a clean hit on Stafford, he might have gotten

suspended if he laid a clean legal hit and injure Brady or Manning. mad

It makes no sense. Nothing about that play was illegal.

I'll take as many victories as I can get.......but Lovie Smith still stinks as a coach.

As usual, Chicago fans act like the Bears just won the Superbowl. It's game 2.

It sets up a great match-up next Monday vs. the 2-0 Packers.

My goodness the Giants were God awful, the only exciting thing was the guy who didn't want to give up the helmet. I guess the same rules don't apply as they do in baseball, that Giants RB would've had to trade or give-up something to get that helmet back. lol

I have my play-doe to make ifagehs of the Packers QB / football team, my stickpins are ready. evillol

Giants were out-coached. They were in nickel and dime the whole game expecting the pass. Colts changed shit up and killed us with the run, caught the Giants napping and with Peyton's no huddle they were stuck with that personnel on the field. Giants got too cute and deactivated Joseph Linval and Rocky Benard - stupid move.

Impressive win by the Jets. Defense played well without Revis and the coaches finally let Sanchez do his thing.

Seriously, I haven't started drinking the Kool -Aid yet. lol It's a long season but I do like offensive coordinator Coach Martz; I like how the game plan seems to be setup to pass the ball around, they may end-up as the no name offense. The defense is doing what it should do, fly around the field and knock the shit out of people, they have to stay healthy. Just maybe the Bears can win in spite of Coach Lovie. . . . crossed fingers. biggrin

Best thing to happen to the Bears is Mike Martz. If they can just do a better job in pass protection, it could be a fun season.

Looks like the Giants are leaving off where they started at the end of last season. Just couldn't Giants make any half-time adjustments? Who's the RB for the Colts, how many times did that man run start down the middle on the NY? My mamma could ran on their asses and her left leg is sore. lol

He ain't shit. I've been saying so for 3 years and TO got fired for calling his weak call playing ass out not for issues with Romo and Witten. But Jerry is gonna live and die with Jason, Wade, and Roy Williams rather than admitting to making a mistake.

I saw the same nonsense from the Giants during pre-season. Our defense has not been the same since Spags and Strahan left. And our linebackers are a fucking joke.

Everyone wants Wade's head on a platter but I'm not sure I agree with that. I DO know Jason is not the answer. They need to use their running game a whole lot more. They only had 36 rushing yards yesterday. WTF??? When they got Barber, Felix Jones, and Tashard Choice??? That shit makes NO sense. I'm convinced that because Garrett is a former Cowboys QB he has too much faith in grossly overrated Tony Romo.

I thought they shoulda got Michael Vick as a backup instead of sorry ass Kitna and that maybe it would spur Romo's ass. He's definitely not gonna get us to a SB. Ever. He's a loser who ain't never won shit. And he's too fucking laid back. No heart, zero passion.
