He still looked juicy on the sidelines.
You know Gabby used to date him too? I swear she must be the Kardashian's lost ho sister.

Giants or Eagles, but it's not the Cowboys for sure
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Damn, Tony REALLY ain't shit. This lack of offense is fuckin' ridiculous. ONLY the Cowboys would fuck up an opportunity for a historic comeback on opening night. It's shit like this why I can't take them seriously. EVER.

Wild finish to the Cowboys-Redskins game. Was that Flozell Adams or Alex Barron I saw out there?

I don't care what anybody says about rules...Chicago is flat out GANGSTA because they straight up JACKED Detroit this afternoon and I'm about it! I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

The worst call in NFL history.......................that same play was a td in the last Superbowl.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
CHICAGO vs Detroit
Right call on second, third, fourth looks at that particular play.
Mr. Johnson had both hands on the ball as he was going down (he did not maintain possession for the entire ''process of the catch") it looks like ol' boy was more interested in getting up celebrating quickly instead of taking care of buiness first. If I were his coach I'd get in his ass. Even so the Bears, have a lot work to do because they didn't look impressive at all.

Rules: Right call Common sense: wrong call.

Arien Foster - WTF?? He ripped the Colts a new one.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
BULLSHIT!
He caught the ball with both hands, landed both of his feet and his ass, while still maintaining full control and possession of the ball. He let it go as he was coming back up! TOUCHDOWN!!!!
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Exactly. Don't like the rules, change 'em. Until then EVERYONE knows what you're supposed to do make a valid catch, there's no gray area.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Really? Why was this a TD in the Superbowl 6 months ago?
| |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Was it the same ref? From the same angle? Under the same conditions? No.
I meant there's no gray area about what is expected from the PLAYER catching the ball. The ref's perspective is always subjective so it's up to the player to eliminate that.

Do u know what Td I'm referring 2 in the Superbowl?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
He DID NOT finish the play! Chris Carter broke it down, tell it can't be broke down no mo'.
http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=5565539
It appears Johnson didn't know the rule(s) or as I said he was to quick to celebrate something that never was. That's why the head coach Schwartz wasn't trippin' about the call. The players on the Bears sidelines said, Coach Lovie glance up and said, that's not a touchdown went on settin' up the next play

Uh, yeah the Santonio Holmes catch, right? [Edited 9/13/10 8:29am]
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
No...........the Saints from 6 months ago. Same basic play and they called it a TD.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Oh, right. Well, the same thing happened in the previous superbowl with Santonio. The players know they run a risk of getting a bad call if they don't maintain control of the ball and they may get get a ref who gives it to them or not. Part of the game, until the rules change.

I wouldn't care if Mean Joe Green broke it down in my livingroom. I've been watching football since high school and pretty much religiously for the last 10 years because my husband loves the game so much. I know a touchdown when I see one and that was a touchdown!
First Chris said that their knee has to be down...as they were replaying the video and everyone could clearly see that Johnson's knee WAS down as he started getting up. THEN he said, "Or it has to be both feet down and then they have to physically hand the ball to the Ref."
That's a bunch of bullshit and they know it but that's cool. When you piss off a pack of Lions, somebody's getting mauled! RRROOOAARRRR!!!! GO LIONS!!!!

You know what Hatrina, I'm not go even gonna argue with you because, I may need some computer help. The ref made the right call and all your 10 plus of watching the game doesn't change the rules or the play. Our teams will meet again and then we can find something else to debate about I'm sure. DA BEARS! DA WIN!
P.S. Besides, I've been watching football longer than you, remember I saw your cute pics from the concert. Hell, you just got out of high school ten years ago, did-cha go to your reunion this year?

I don't believe common sense dictates that it was the wrong call. The issue was possession of the football. The appearance of what the call should be is not common sense. That's a subjective interpretation of what is being viewed. Common sense dictates that it was the right call because it conformed to the rules of the game. The game is played within the rules. If according to the rules, it is not a TD, then common sense would not dictate that failure to conform to the rule is a wrong call. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Flattery will get you no...well ok....somewhere...just a little!
Da Bears must come to Da Lions Den on December 5th and I just made sure that I will be there, just so you can tell me how cute my pictures, in front of your MAULED, MULTILATED, LEFT ON THE FIELD IN A FESTERING HEAP OF THEIR OWN FLESH...Bears are, too!

Of course be December if the Bears suck, I may come up there and root for the Lions.
