You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Look, Michael Jackson was an amazing artist/musician who's inspired and still inspiring people to be better and do better with their lives. And some of us long-time fans want to still talk about him and remember him as he was. Too much to ask?

MJ may not be with us physically, but he has left such a lasting legacy and his millions of admirers/fans/extended family wanna keep the good feeling going. People do the same for Elvis, John Lennon, Tupac, Jimi so why not Michael?

Looking at the MJ fans on the Org, it is such a nice cross section of everybody that 99% of the time, the MJ Sticky is full of tidbits of things I really enjoy. I have been a lifelong fan since 1982 when I first heard Thriller living in Miami and I was sold. The albums, J5 Cartoon, MJ Toys, Moonwalker, Pepsi commercials, and tabloid stories are all part of the fabric of my experience with MJ.

Some conversations can take a left turn, (but this is the Org where the road to hell is paved with good intentions) wink

The GREATEST regret I have is not being able to have seen him in concert. I would have loved to have seen the BAD tour because he was on point and at the height of his power.

For those of us who posts in the sticky, the pain never really leaves knowing he is not here, so in a way it is almost therapeutic knowing that we all share the same feeling for the man we will always consider King.

I've been wondering if anyone else has thought about whether or not Mike had regrets for giving so much money away to charities over the years given the position he ended up in. We all know he gave away millions and supposedly died with less than a million in cash. I wonder if he'd do it differently if he had a chance. I mean, it was the money which forced him to push himself to the limit at his age.

I don't think it was the charities, he did that from his heart.

It was taking care of family, I believe.

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Here's a better question, if you're so bored and don't wanna discuss him, why come into this thread in the first place?

I swear, hatin' ass people sometimes

I mean, damn, you don't see postin' in R. Kelly or Timbaland threads. Why? because I'm not a fan and I don't have anything to contribute to them. Leave it to the fans of the artists

There's a lot to be discussed

the new album

the new dvd set

the new video game

the tours

unreleased material

the unreleased album produced by Stevie Wonder

looking back at his lyrics

info about him working in the studio

Michael's impact on culture and music

just because someone doesn't think there isn't anything left to talk about doesn't mean they have to throw shade on people who do wanna discuss
