can we all just agree that if this steaming slab of poo doesn't make any mark on the european or german market (and it won't) that all those earless orgers will never ever offer their critique on a prince song again and will just let those of us with taste discuss prince music for what it is instead of what everybody wishes it would be .. we all love prince .. its just some of us are honest

considering the fan art on this single surpasses prince crop and type with a preset font version by a million zillion miles .. i think prince should put up his songs in a remixable format .. beat on one track .. bass on another .. vocals etc .. yadda yadda .. maybe about 8 tracks .. then his fans can download it and turn it into something better .. hell even if eye have ta delete half his lyrics and make it sound like a carmen electra album .. anything would bet better than the way prince is presenting his music .. imagine being able to delete the raps in put in a horn section instead .. or take out prince weak ass drums and throw on something fat and sleezy .. take out the golden girls theme song lead line .. and add in something oringinal .. or take a hook off of one of prince other songs and throw it in ..

even if only a couple songs .. it would be a GREAT experiment and us complainers can finally show prince how to do his (usually decent) ideas to good use before he shits all over them with rappers and lazy production and auto tune and kenny g lead lines

I'm always glad to hear new Prince music, but i cannot help being disappointed. You would think that someone of Prince's talent would be able to release something more inspiring after his long break. He just doesn't seem to have the drive to experiment or push himself anymore.

I guess this song has finally made me realise that the old Prince truly isn't coming back.

I've always said "if you can do something better than someone then what's stopping you?" If you believe you can make better music for the public to enjoy then have at it. You shouldn't need Prince to get you started off though. Clearly your discerning taste should put you far above anything he'd offer anyway. Then we can all be honest.

Funny, at first listen I didn't like it that much...but now I'm becoming fond of the song. LOL But, in saying that, I want him to let loose, lose control, give us a new CD, at least along the lines of Lotus...if nothing else...

I'm not disputing that. Hearing something you like or dislike about a song is one thing. Claiming to be able to improve upon any song if it's broken down for you into layers for you to rebuild is hubris. If your talents are such that you can vastly improve other artists work then where is your own art for us to judge? Also why do you need their base track to build off of? I've read on this site countless times orgers telling Prince what he needs to add or take out of his music yet none of these orgers are touring the globe playing us their hits and selling out arenas after 30+ years in the game. I'm not saying everything Prince makes is great but it's his music for us to either take or leave.

But be honest, the same people who rant on and on about how they hate RnR love Affair will go to a Prince concert where Shelby shouts Put Your Hands Up all Night, and Andy Allo sings lead on 3 songs, Prince will do 9 cover songs, and they will yap about how it was a mind blowing experience, and the best concert they ever saw.

I think there is a mental issue some people have here. If they go to a show, they are so caught up in the moment, and are happy to see Prince in person, they can't tell the difference between a good show or a bad one.

When they are at home, and a new song comes out over their internet speakers, they simply believe it has to suck because somebody else said it sucks. They don't even listen.

Yeah, I know, I am in the minority here. I think Prince has lost it live, and still has it in the studio. So many others have it the other way around.

Prince can still be the best in the world live if he wants to, but he's too caught up in how his hair looks, and what woman he wants to bother.

Rick Rubin is a stellar example who has workied with great talent and brought out the best in the artist by having distance, skills and good ears.

i dont mind the song ..but as a lead single....no...it sounds like an album track and if it was that then its fine....its never a single in a million years and if this gets any airplay or gets into the top 40 anywhere (with the exception of holland and those mad dutch fans who buy anything he puts out) then i will post my bare ass on this website...it aint gonna happen...its as poor a lead single he has ever put out..
