True, but he has nobody left that stand up and tells him the truth. As long as Prince will continue having yes-sayers there is nothing fans can do. At least he's targting new fan bases, new folks, he's trying to make changes.

you're right. and that is a bit of a healthy sign. but then: he got back into the spotlight and into the

public eye with "musicology" and all the performances, tours, the superbowl etc etc. and yet, when

he had everyone's attention, he messed up big time with lotusflower.com

it's like he wants more fans until he has them and then he doesn't, or he decides that he won't be

pandering to them.

it's always just plain weird with prince.

then once he scared all the casual fans off again he goes on tour and plays only hits for those who

remained loyal, saying that 'the casual fans or the first timers' want to hear the hits.

funny how he doesn't seem to think that those casual fans who just discovered him or those first

timers at his concerts won't want to pick up a remastered copy of his back albums in good sound

quality instead of having to search online for out of print albums or buy crappy sounding 30 year

old versions from the few stores that still stock anything besides purple rain and 1999.

oh well, i know i'll always be here to pick up new songs and albums, but he's sure made sure to

take most of the fun out of the whole process for everyone.

Prince Is Ova. It's alright with me, I have lotsa songs that I can keep listenign until I die. Prince said he needs that change to keep him sane and to survive. I accept that, and that he's a an aging nostalgia act. Of course it's frustating to see your idol go this route, but times are changing. lol

Prince I will always miss and love U.

Hmmm, wonder why the purple rain font. Could the be an indication something from the purple rain era may be a 'b side'- oh I forgot he doesn't do those or EP's anymore!!!!

which is a shame since he easily could. take extraloveable. that extende portion of 'remix'

that was 'released' earlier this week. tacked onto the back of the actual song it would make

for a nice 12" version, almost like the good old days. stick on one more song and you've

got the makings of a great single that people will want to pick up.

whenever i listen to the 'space' maxi single, my heart aches a little bit for all the cool and

wonderful extended versions that never were after that.

Reading some of these posts, you would think Prince had remade Purple & Gold with Tony M and crossed it with Wedding Feast. RnR is a decent song, a good song. It's not Anna Stesia or When Doves Cry, but it's ok. Some people just can't like anything.

So an album that he swore he'd never again release can't be far behind. If it sucks as bad as the lead single, his transition to complete irrelevance will be complete. Since he has been crystal clear through his actions that his this was his goal, I suppose contratulations are in order. But is Prince even capable of selling 100,000 copies of an album anymore? That's "take this!" to Warner Brothers with Chaos and Disorder territory folks, and he's really not even capable of that any more.

Thankfully there are tens of tousands of better songs to listen to by thousands of artists. I discovered them about 10 years ago. It's about time most of the people here widened their musical horizons now that Prince has more than shot his wad.

Don't be such a fool. God doesn't even exist outside your colonized mind.

Take your War on Christianity to P&R!

How arrogant that this person assumes that the only non-existent, mythical deity that the previous poster could be referring to is a non-existent, mythical Christian deity. Just to be clear, all of the major world religions feature a non-existent mythical deity, they are all different non-existent mythical deities, and some of us are smart enough to realize that none of them exist. Unfortunately they are referred to a lot here, and often enough by Prince himself. That makes it a subject for discussion. But note that the God squad starts such discussions by mentioning non-existent mythical deities in the first place. One would do well to read a little Richard Dawkins before weighing in though.

Hello! Is anyone home up there? Prince sold more than a 100,000 the first week sales of LotuFlow3r.Not to mention the over 500,000 gold 3121 and the platinum "Musicology"....Prince has many songs in his vault that would blow everyone away on this site...Only he knows the right moment to release the "masterPieces"...

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

yeahthat
It's a decent song, nothing special. Lyrics are interesting. The keys/horn stabs are embarrassing so that puts it at a below average rating for me. But if he cut out those stabs, I might consider adding it to a playlist.

He should stop the release of the other album, and do vocals on Stars Collide and realse that instead of this nonsense. Prince vocals!

sad Yes, and there really havent been a lot of evolution when it comes to the concerts as well. Todays shows and setlist are almost the same as the musicology tour. And the aftershows are not filled with improvisation as the use to be. Freedom is a beautifil thang! confused
