For fuck's sake, watch any of the excellent Bowie docs made in recent years. They constantly hop through time and they are extremely interesting because they explain connections throughout his career. Put that shit in chronological order and it becomes boring and a slug to go through.

Make no mistake, if the estate thought they could reissue Purple Rain with a plastic toy motorcycle and sell it to all of us for $300, they absolutely would do that. We're here to tell 'em whats acceptible. This 'everything's wonderful' philosophy is what leads to bloated, half-useless releases like W2A SDE.

eye would have bought camille on vinyl even tho ieye don't love vinyl and already have all the songs .. eye would have bought a tape too .. w2a eye did buy but kind of regretted .. tho not as much as eye would have regretted buying the dvd package with such attrocious dvd sound quality .. eye dont need ANY remasters as they butcher the sound .. eye feel the estate could have packaged the outtakes in such a way that prince could have had a golden era unearthed album that could have sold on a larger scale than just the collectors .. something that could have stood next to the big hits and served as a sort of dylan time out of mind resurgence of interest .. still feel spoiled by all the bootlegs eye do have and am grateful to get anything of interest from the estate if thats how its gotta be
