I may not be pleased that I'd have to join Tidal to hear his album, but in terms of being true to his beliefs, this deal shows he means business. Exactly. I do not, can not, will not stream. I spend 1.5 hrs each day driving and listening to Prince on the way to work and back, I travel often where I cannot stream, and I appreciate vinyl and artwork and CDs and owning a physical copy of the music. I gladl will give Prince my money for any of his music and make a point to legally buy all CDs/LPs or downloads. Hopefully people are right that after a trial period we will have a chance to buy the album in one form or another legally in "Phase Two".

I've been a fan since he released "Soft and Wet" but I don't get this strategy. It's like he's begging me to get a bootleg copy.

If U were a real fan like most here aren't, U would support 's endeavors. It's not many ways that a artist as successful as is can release muziq without it being leaked.

Tidal ain't a heavensent and there's a sliiight notion that it's overpriced....that's debatable.... But your getting access to waaaay more than just princes new 12± trax. I am not interested to listen to other artists I like via streaming. No matter who the artist is, I prefer cd, vinyl or download. I want to be able to hear it in my car when I am driving for instance.
