Bart's opinion is one of the few I pay attention to. He says what I'm thinking when I read the nauseating amounts of hype and pro-prince spin on here. Bart gives a narrative to events that is at least plausible, so of course I'd rather pay attention to him than to whatever meaningless announcement comes from prince.

His opinion is always the same: Prince is now a mediocre artist only in it for the money, he has not written a single good song since he first left Warner and all of his future songs are going to be terrible unless he agrees to be under the strict direction of a label as a mass-pleasing pop star, ideally under his helm.

That about sums it up. The only nuance he's had is in the degree of contempt and how vindictive he has been about any of Prince's action, bar none. I can't remember a single time when Bart said Prince did something half decent in the last 15 years. He's the mirror image of KCool: one chooses to see everyting through wonderful, pink-hued glasses, the other sees everything through shit-coloured glasses, but other than that, they are the two sides of the same coin.

I agree that Bart and KCOOL are kind of opposites. I also agree that I have a good idea of what I'm about to read when I'm scrolling through a thread and I see Bart's or KCOOL's avatar. I'd still rather read 15 Bart posts than 15 KCOOL posts. When I read Bart's posts I usually think to myself, "yeah that sounds about right". When I read KCOOL's posts I always think "this is completely divorced from reality".

Don't write away KCoool, he or she has a few interesting tidbits sometimes, like she knows from someone inside the camp. I wouldn't have any problem with Bart if he wasn't so fucking contemptuous and condescending but by now, just like KCool, his stance has been ritualized and fossilized so that you no longer can read it first degree. Each of their posts are like Andy Warhol's soup cans : mechanical, predictable, way too biased but personifying an extreme, a plus and a minus. They're the goddam battery of this place, with King Sausage and I in the choruses somewhere along with many other voices, it's wonderful.

To drive my point that KCool and Bart have the exact same credibility and bias, here is my first sentence, written for KCool this time: His/her opinion is always the same: Prince is forever a genius artist only in it for his art, he has only written good songs since he first left Warner and all of his future songs are going to be terrific especially if he does exactly what he wants, then he's gonna have one megahit after the other as a mass-pleasing pop star, ideally with me cheerleading in the front row.

They are very much the same, it's just that in times of disappointment, Bart resonates more, and in times of perceived success, KCool rings the bell better.

BART has a lot of knowledge about Prince and his works... That I give credit too. I too have an extensive collection and have read many books, but it's the attitude I don't like... There's could beso much more room great conversation about Prince, his faults, his genius, etc... It all depends on the attitude of the poster.

Others have as much knowledge, they're just not belittling people with it for the most part.

Exactly, that's why I said it's all about the attitude... This place could be much more productive than it is...

So it's been confirmed there'll be a physical release. That's a relief.

I expect the streams might go first still.
