Well, this is the downside of the no tape recorder rule isn't it.

It would be interesting to hear from the journalist too, since Prince is accusing them of mis-quoting him. Is there really any reason why they would mis-quote him? Even if they paraphrased what he said, it's likely he expressed those opinions.

As far as 'mis-quotes', that is inevitable if no one who speaks to him
is allowed to record the interiew. Reoporters are good, but no one is that good to be able to remember every part of a conversation. Especially if it is Prince you are talking to.

Let the man express who he is now and how he has evolved as a person. I mean I certainly am not the same person I was when I first discovered his music. However, I still love to listen and enjoy it even still.

No matter what his view on any of the 'issues', we are all entitled to our opinion. After all, this is the home of the brave and land of the free.

Like it or not, Prince is who he is. It seems that the more some actually know about him the more critical they are of him. That is interesting, considering the whole point of even being here is 'to know' what is going on with his life and music.

Personally, and this hasn't started just from this interview, but I only take his word as red when I watch him say it in a tv interview.

People make up loads of shit. Or he could have said it, but hey, why even waste time trying to figure that out? I just dismiss it all unless I hear words from his own mouth.

Y'all need to calm down a little lol. ANY prince fan would know that he never expresses himself explicitely like this. He usually gives vague answers which leave room for interpretation. I feel like she took his answers and wrote what she thought he meant. Prince is usually very prudent when it comes to interviews. So I trust Prince's people on the misquotes
