Now ppl are protesting his upcoming appearance on Dancing With The Stars...

'Dancing' Fans: CANCEL Ch...rformance!

Chris Brown's "GMA" meltdown this morning pissed off a HORDE of "Dancing with the Stars" fans -- and now they're demanding that ABC cancel the singer's performance on the show next week.

0322_chris_brown_dancing_BN_01

Chris was scheduled to perform on "Dancing" TWICE during the elimination episode next Tuesday -- but fans of the show are rallying online to make sure that doesn't happen ... overtaking the official "DWTS" message board on ABC.com.

Several users plead openly for ABC to cancel Chris' performance after the singer's outburst this morning -- writing messages like, "Please do not allow him to perform on Dancing with the Stars! I will NOT be watching going forward if you do this."

But it doesn't stop there ... some fans are even contacting ABC directly via email to thwart Chris' performance -- in fact, another person writes, "I just sent an e-mail to ABC about him performing. I truly hope they cancel his appearance."

That's an interesting juxtaposition.

I wonder if the difference (aside from the obvious) is that Charlie's "victims" don't seem altogether as innocent as Rihanna. And Charlie also owns his crap. He seems to say, "Yeah, I'm crazy. Deal with it, b*tches." Chris, on the other hand, seems often to take a position that says, "But.. but... I am a victim, too!" bawl He deserves that acknowledgement, of course, but people seem resistant to having their sympathies taken for granted these days.

[Edited 3/22/11 9:36am]

I've noticed that, too (and no doubt the next thing we'll hear is how it's the interviewer's fault for provoking poor ickle Chris - just like it was Rihanna's fault for provoking him, previously). rolleyes I know he took his punishment, but I do wonder what real efforts he's made to take a long hard look at himself and change, and if he's even accepted that he has a problem that he needs to take responsibility for. There's a lot of crap talked about the 'out of control' abuser, which is a myth; nonetheless, I can feel a certain amount of sympathy to the extent that someone has habituated really bad ways of relating to people, but faces up to what they've done, wants to change, and starts developing strategies not to go that way again.

The "poor me" schtick doesn't fill me with much optimism, on that score, though. And if the last couple of years has simply been about going through the motions and playing the 'long game', in anticipation of making and releasing a new album, I don't have much sympathy. If today's events are anything to go by, the 'old Chris' certainly doesn't seem to be old news, regardless of what the PR narrative for this album would have us believe.

wow, unexpected. thought he'd learned some stuff. i think it just MAY BE a wrap for him. what little sympathy SOME folk had will dissipate if this gets the media traction it likely will. it'll be interesting to say the least if he recovers from THIS.

Chris Brown is a very foolish lil' boy . . . .

Another thing: Mr. Brown should worry about his life choices and consequences, "we" should know how the game is played in this country. wink Les get stuck off of stupid.

The whole thing is laughable but could have been avoided quite easily by doing the following:

1) have your publicist/agent/lawyer/momma or whomever is handling yo bizz tell the folk at GMA that questions about Rihanna and his probation are off limits.

2) have your lawyer present during the interview (but off camera) so as intimidate, ever so slightly, the interviewer in case they get to poppin their collar and want to ask inappropriate questions.

3) beat them to the punch...you bring up Rihanna first and you discuss the situation on your terms. control the interview.

4) skip an interview and just do a live performance. seriously, what else is there to talk about besides the music?

5) my personal favorite... steer clear of network morning shows cuz these are run by a bunch of old foots who probably can't name one Chris Brown song and have only heard of him through the altercation with Rihanna.

confused today's young celebs have no game.

Sheen is "old" Hollywood in every sense of the word.

What do u expect? U know the game.

nod Quite true. There's only a few members of the hollywood royalty left. We've got the Sheens/Estevezes, the Bridges, the Fondas, the Houstons, the Douglases, and Drew is semi-holding it down for the Barrymores. CBS was just tryna whip ole Charlie boy into shape but instead he "whipped" them.

CB is being "villified"? Dude just had another violent episode wherein somebody ELSE could have gotten hurt. Again. This time over being asked questions about his first episode. Questions that seemed to have been cleared by him prior to the actual interview.

Not saying he's lying, but I'm more inclined to give credence to Robin Roberts over this problem child.

Plus he's got jump offs to keep him um....calm, so why even get upset at this point over questions about an ex-girlfriend? Robin Roberts can be irritating but I don't believe her intention was to upset Chris Brown. If anything she was a pawn and the GMA execs wanted to get a reaction out of Brown. Unfortunately, now everybody knows that he has a short fuse and once he gets back to his everyday life the papparazi are going to go ten times harder on him. If he didn't grow his ass up before he will surely do so now.

I don't see Charlie Sheen as being celebrated; most seem to think he's off his rocker, rightfully so.

But Chris Brown throws a temper tantrum in which he busts out a window... after already having beat the crap out of his girlfriend? He deserves to be villified.

OH HERE WE GO...

ABC: We're Calling the Co...hris Brown

ABC staffers called the cops after Chris Brown's tirade this AM to document the broken window in the building, and this could spell big trouble for the famous singer who is currently on probation.

TMZ obtained audio near the dressing room where Chris allegedly took a chair and smashed a window, sending shards of glass onto 43rd Street. During the conversation between the staffer and a glass repairman, the staffer says "I have a police officer coming just to take a look at it before we do any work."

Despite the conversation, NYPD sources tell us ... none of their officers were dispatched to the scene.

If Chris did indeed smash the window, it probably constitutes at least 2 crimes -- vandalism and assault on the passersby below. As a result, the judge in the Rihanna battery case could revoke Chris' probation and, worst case scenario, he could end up in prison.

Does anyone know the conditions of his probation? Sometimes they are very specific depending on the original conviction and perhaps, if a vandalism charge is indeed filed, his probation will not be revoked but perhaps extended or modified. Honestly I can't see him going to prison for a broken window when he didn't go to prison for breaking a woman's face. Then again, we're talking New York and California. shrug

The major difference between Sheen and Chris is, Sheen didn't beatdown a pop princess. Sheen fucks with trashy, porn hoes, so no one gives a fuck about thoes hoes. Chris beatdown Rihanna - she's famous and beloved. Had Sheen beatdown Denise Richards and then the photos got leaked, Sheen would've been shitted on as much as Brown is getting shitted on. Is there a race element to it? Probably so. But Chris' anger issues are what's fucking him up, while Sheen's "Lord of the Rings"-ish outbursts are just comedy and not hurting anyone.
