But you have to admit the timing is NOT coincidental! wink

lol No! I'm not even admitting that because that would lend credence to your claim!

I really don't think this was a moment of any publicity is good publicity. I think Chris wasn't really prepared to answer questions about Rihanna from both an intellectual and emotional perspective. I think the experience was too intense for him and he sort of short ciruited afterward. Bi-Polar with Psycotic features? Where the hell was his record label? Is there no one other than Justin Beiber to look out for him? Where is his damn family? And yeah Sheen's girls come from experiences that are looked down on by some, but his putting a knife to someone's throat, threatening to cut somone's head off, accidently shooting Kelly Preston in the arm ... the totality of his behavior is far worse than Chris Brown's, and yet he gets break after break after break. A few years after Charlie Sheen testified (snitched snitched snitched) against Heidi Fleiss for providing him with prostitutes she said something like "Great, I get 4 years in jail and Charlie gets a million dollars an episode." And truthfully, she didn't seem bitter at all. (Pretty good point from Chris about Charlie Sheen.)

Our culture seems to view neglect of children and abuse of children as being manifested in childhood, and stopping. I would suggest that there is a place where Chris' needs were neglected and he was not aided in forming a mature personality defined by good health and wellness, and respect of others. Now he is a child grown old. He has not been offered proper guidance and nurturing to turn into a kind, secure and loving man. (Todlers and Tiarras anyone?) So, as with many of us, he is left to navigate life and grow up at the same time. That is some tough shit to do.

And Robin Roberts was milking some ratings. She should of had some respect and shut the hell up.

All that being said I really don't care the man or for his stuff. I saw the new video;he coulda brought sexy back, but instead he brought them damn vests back. Again, who is looking out for this young man.

I agree with those who say that Chris Brown's behavior was a poor reaction and he could have handled it better BUT y'all and they need to let up and leave him the hell alone about that. His career and livelihood should not be in jeopardy and people should let it go! DAMN, people have committed rape, murder and everything else and not gotten the reaction that this young man has over the mess with Rihanna. She has moved on. Don't people have something else to do?

I hear everyone's point on how Sheen gets a pass while Brown gets thrashed. But some of it stems around the fact that Sheen is a grown-ass man and has always led this bad boy life while Brown was looked upon as this "good kid" and then viciously attacked a "good girl" that was liked by millions. Plus, the photos just added to the fire. I truly think had no pictures gotten out, the heat on this dude would be WAY less than it is. But once people saw that busted lip and that swollen face and eye, that dude became public enemy wifew-beater #1.

Then throw in the fact the Brown never had an full-on interview to give his side like Rihanna did. Because of that, everytime he gets in front of a camera, the media is gonna grill him about what happened. Again, his handlers should've suggested he do a sit-down interview with a Tavis or a King or The View or someone like that, and the scrutiny wouldn't be so piercing on him to where he wouldn't have to snap like he did. He now has to realize that until he does a legit sit-down interview about this and comes off truly remorseful, this shit is gonna be par for the course, and honestly, this was all brought on by himself.

How many journalists have approached him or turned down an opportunity to even get his side of the story is the question. Therefore, I find it weird for the media to dig up this issue now, especially if his purpose to appear on GMA was to promote his album. Where was his lawyers or even his handlers at the time? I don't know how credible this statement I've been hearing in the last two years, but it's been said that Rhianna gave him herpes, and that she could be a bag of nerves, a provoker. I am not justifying the fact that he put his hands on her, but I heard those are the contributing factors.

Chris Brown will always be followed by the beatdown, cause thats the only thing the vast majority of the general public knows him for.

Though looking like a Dennis Rodman knock off could be a close second.

That story was the hottest story for about 3-4 months after it happened, so I'm sure he was approached by a bunch of journalists simply because of that. But it's not weird to dig up the issue when only one sside has been told. The best story isn't ever from the victim's standpoint, it's from the attacker's standpoint. What made him do it? Why did he do it? Those are questions that people wanna know. Chris' mistake is not speaking up and THEN trying to promote a CD as if nothing happened. His people handled his shit the wrong way all around.

I just wish he'd stop referring to it at "something he went through/something that happened to him". It's never "something I did". Surely that's proof there that he hasn't fully accepted responsibility.

I think if he can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Give up on being in the public eye. It reminds me of 3 of my friends/colleagues at work. 2 were in a long term relationship, he had a quite public affair with a girl in the office (and not her first affair with a man at work) whom by the way is shit at her job and hates it. When they were found out his girlfriend foolishly took him back, but they seem happy and have just had a baby together. Now everyone at work is congratulating them on the baby but the other girl is still here, still shit at her job, still taking time off sick to avoid dealing with anything while pretending nothing happened. Everyone thinks she should just quit and move on.

hmmm seems to me his anger management is working very well. He didn't hit anyone, he stayed controlled in public, and he vented in private. Anger management doesn't mean you never get to be angry. In fact if he doesn't release it, it can be worse, especially if you have bipolar concerns. He's a human being! Stop dredging up his past constantly like the rest of us are perfect and never make mistakes. There is nothing new to add to that story anyway.

I agree. Chris actually tried to put the focus back on his album after Robin asked the question about Rihanna, but she would not let up. He did try to be calm at first and tried to talk about his music instead of the incident, but Robin wouldn't stop questioning him.

Of course he got mad. I'm not saying that punching a glass window was the right thing to do, but Chris has discussed the incident several times. Rihanna has discussed it as well. They have both seemed to move on.

Why keep asking him about it? He was there to promote his music, not talk about that incident. Robin and GMA should have backed off.

First-Robin Roberts was so wrong for continuing to go there with this mess and second this happened two years ago-leave the man alone. If RiRi doesn't have an issue with it then why should anyone else? I also hope that Chris can get control of his temper and stop letting folks push his buttons like this neutral and I hope this stunt helps his album sales lol

Looks like Breezy has the #1 in the bag.

CROSSOVER MOVE: Following his GMA meltdown yesterday, Chris Brown opted for a time-honored method of stress relief—he played some hoops. Brown hit the typically crowded West 4th St. courts on Sixth Ave. in the Village for a pick-up game but couldn’t escape scrutiny—he was heckled by bystanders, according to the N.Y. Daily News. Wonder if he could take GMA anchor—and former basketball star at Southeastern Louisiana—in a game of one-on-one? By the way, the NYPD was not called to the GMA set yesterday, contrary to earlier reports, and it remains to be seen whether Brown’s scheduled performance nest week on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars will go on as scheduled. But there's little question about next week's projected #1 album; it's Brown's new Jive/JLG release F.A.M.E. (3/23a)

Chris Brown should NEVER compare his public outbursts and trials with Charlie Sheen or any other overrated entertainer.

HE CANNOT DO WHAT THEY DO! Yes they say Charlie is crazy or Lindsey Lohan is crazy but they can always make a come back without too much damage.

I say RISE ABOVE, take anger managment classes, humble himself.

He's a young BLACK man.....he's got to try harder then others. That will cement him truly as talented.

This is true and I agree. He will never be considered the same as those individuals. If I remember correctly, Charlie Sheen was arrested at one point for beating up his wife, Mel Gibson was accused of doing so, and as were quite a few others. It's a terrible double standard.

We don't what will happen when Mel comes back out and there's nothing comical about beating your spouse. That goes for Mary J. Blige as well as she was caught hitting her husband on camera in that club.

The better question is IF mel comes back. It's not a lock that he does. And the comical acting out was what Sheen is currently doing, not about his past physical abuse.
