She needs to just scrap this and get started on a new project with the quickness.

Yep just heard a few singles and you could see it was always going to be a hard sell as everyone just gonna compare it to "The Fame" by Lady Ga Ga, which no artist wants, it funny that she waited to get this far before pulling out of the project...

I think it's a 50/50 half record company push Ga Ga in her face and her own diva like status, thinking she can out Ga Ga , Lady Ga Ga...

What was she thinking, how some people on this forum gave her so much credit for her career so far is beyond me, like Britney she very overrated with only a few half efforts at making good pop records,it's not like she could release a greatest hits album ... lol

School's in session.

1) The girl has had some hits.

12. "Keeps Gettin' Better" 3:04

If you choose to ignore the obvious, that's your problem, no CA's.

School's in session - again.

Albums:
Christina Aguilera #1 album in the US and Canada; 8x platinum in US
Stripped #2 in US & UK; 4x platinum in US
Back To Basics #1 in US, UK, Canada, AUS, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, & Netherlands; Platinum in US
Keeps Gettin' Better (a greatest hits package) Top 10 US

Singles:
Genie in a Bottle - #1 US
What A Girl Wants - #1 US
I Turn To You - #3 US
Fighter - #3 EU, #3 UK, top 10 in many countries
The Voice Within - Top 10 in many countries
Lady Marmalade (featuring artist) - #1 US, #1 EU, #1 UK, #1 AUS, #1 GER, #1 IRE
Come On Over Baby - #1 US
Dirrrty - #1 UK
Beautiful = #2 US, #2 EU, #1 UK, #1 AUS, #1 IRE
Ain't No Other Man - Top 10 US, peaking at #6; Top 10 in many countries
Hurt - #1 EU, Top 10 in many countries
Keeps Gettin' Better - Top 10 US, peaked at #7 (and that was just a bonus new track on a greatest hits package)

You don't have to like Aguilera, but denying the success she's had with only three regular studio albums is lame. Let's also not forget a Christmas album, a Spanish album, the greatest hits package, featured on four soundtracks, featured artist on 3 other tracks, plus collaborations with Andrea Bocelli, Herbie Hancock, and Keizo Nakanishi.

I don't remember Herbie fucking Hancock calling up Britney or Rihanna to sing on his records. I don't remember a pop opera singer calling up Ashanti or Aaliyah to sing with them.

While I would say that I prefer Britney (was listening to some of "Blackout" one night, an album I definitely didn't like at the time....still kind of tuneless, deteched and "autotune", but not terrible).

When she first started, Christina was doing a lot better with her singles then Britney ("Sometimes" really fell flat as follow up, for example and "From the Bottom...." proved people weren't ready for a Britney ballad in the US).

I recently bought the British edition of Christina's hits because i was really frustrated by what was missing! I'll still keep the Target edition because it has the video (well, many of them). Even though Target does a better job of pushing music then some of it's competitor's, sadly, their exclusives just don't sell!

well the thing is that everyone is talking how she borrowed/ripped off GaGa, you cant borrow from someone who has basically borrowed everything herself, It would be like someone saying that someone is just a rip off of Lenny Kravitz huh?? In listening to this album im not hearing GaGa im hearing alot of "Blackout" by Britney SPears, even down to Aguilera saying "get naked" numerous times in a song. So Brits blackout was long before gaga was on the big stage.

Is it true she confirmed that "Woo Hoo" is the second single? What's the point?

So, currently no single at radio, no song in iTunes top 100, can this album be saved at all? Or RCA is gonna pull the plug when it debuts at #3 with 125k-ish?

Yeah, they project Glee and Eclipse Soundtracks to debut higher. Of course their numbers are usually off a little but their chart placements are usually right.

I love this cd! It is definitely scattered though and that affects the flow of the album. They could have removed I Hate Boys, Prima Donna (sounds dated as hell) and the interludes. It seems like 3 albums...1/3 electro shit, 1/3 ballads and 1/3 whatever (Desnudate, NMT, Woo Hoo). Here is my ideal tracklisting:

Bionic

Monday Morning

Elastic Love

My Girls

Birds of Prey

Morning Dessert (Intro)

Sex for Breakfast

You Lost Me

Lift Me Up

Glam

Vanity

Not Myself Tonight

Woohoo

I Am (Stripped)

Little Dreamer

I love that she's using her voice in different ways but I miss some of the over-the-top vocals. sad

nod The album is very choppy because the middle is filled with ballads. Someone did a bad job at track placement on this album and that's really my only major problem with it. Same problem I had with Prince's "Planet Earth" album. The songs are good and it has elements of all her previous albums on it which is nice. I love 'Bionic', 'Lift Me Up', 'Glam', 'I Am', 'Birds of Prey', and 'Vanity' the most... "I'm not cocky. I just love myself....BITCH!!!" falloff Anyone who can't see the humor in this song is really taking Christina a little too seriously. lol
