Glad this is over!!

Lovesexy (that album stinks) and ATWIAD doesn't BELONG to the final top10 mad , and I can't believe that there are so many fans of SOTT. As I said some days ago, I thought (hoped) that PP was the Nº1, Thriller Nº2 and 1999 Nº3. I was wrong...neutral

if not for Lovesexy and ATWIAD, this could have been perfect arrow :

1.SOTT

2.Purple Rain

3.1999

4.Thriller

5.Parade

6.Dirty Mind

7.Rhythm Nation 1814

8.Like a Prayer

9.Madonna

10.Appetite for Destruction

It's too bad that Lovesexy and ATWIAD landed so high, because it TRULY HURTS THE CREDIBILITY OF THIS NEAR-PERFECT 80s LIST ; I know that this is a Prince site and shit, but from an OBJECTIVE point of view, SOTT, PP, 1999, Parade and DM ALL deserve to be in the final top10. But Losesexy and ATWIAD??? shit, not even in the final top150...

bahh confused

fart

I'm no fan of either album, but I don't see how a different outcome could be expected when the population being sampled is taken into account.

Thank you Mr. Renner for stepping up to the plate again. You're a total rock star.

No real shockers in our top 10, I suppose - 1999 beating Thriller is a mild surprise for me, but I guess my perspective is a little skewed by the perpetual presence of Jackson stickies in this forum.

I'm thrilled that 1999 beat Thriller. I am super-biased, but I think it's so much better. The likes of "The Girl Is Mine" would never have been permitted on 1999. wink

Yeah, magnificent job as always, Moonbeam! I wasn't too off on the top 10.

Now the fun begins... without the '70s will be the hardest to call by far!

Good to see Warm Leatherette is way up there, that album is outstanding. I am hoping the top 10 is

10. Sweet Dreams are made of this - Eurythmics (The one that shows the small picture of Annie holding an apple)

9. Parade - Prince and the Revolution

8. True Blue - Madonna

7. Bad - Michael Jackson

6. Like a Prayer - Madonna

5. 1999 - Prince and the Revolution

4. Dirty Mind - Prince

3. Sign o the Times - Prince

2. Thriller - Michael Jackson

1. Purple Rain, Original Movie Soundtrack - Prince and the Revolution.

Hopefully I will get at least 5 of these in the Top 10

[Edited 6/21/10 3:40am]

7 of my 10 guesses got through, although you did not have to be a psychic to guess my top 5 would be in the Top 10.

MJ Scored a little less than expected, I bet if it was a year ago, they would have been 2 and 4 rather than 4 and 12

So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time
