I agree, That's one of those songs that has not only withstood the test of time but another one of those that was ahead of its time and would fit in perfectly with anything released this or next year.
I would say its far more appreciated today than when it was released.

More Bounce also hurts, those two would have been on my top 10 ...if i wasn't so lazy to submit a list.

Come one, come all to the results of the 80s Poll!

Great job with the polls as usual Moonbeam. thumbs up!

One after-the-fact suggestion I might make is that since this is a MUSIC: Non-Prince forum, his songs/albums should be excluded.

Probably not a popular idea but it might make room for other artists/albums/songs to make the list.

I wouldn't necessarily want to banish him from the poll (even I included a few of his songs, and I barely listen to him anymore), but I'd definitely like to see an alternate list published sans Prince just for interest's sake.

Edit - of course anyone could do that just by taking the final list, uploading it into excel & sorting out the Prince tracks.

Moonbeam,

You and lilgish are the Orgs versions of Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Deloitte & Touche, when it comes to tabulation.
I appreciate you letting me participate, even though I waited to the last hours to do so. I need to start compiling my lists for the 70's as well as the 60's, and I truly look forward to the 60's; which I vote not to add pre 60's recordings.

Looking at the results thus far, now I see the importance of placing the songs in some type of order. If I had to do it over, I would have done that. I will definitely do that for the 70's. It's cool to see the gradual unveiling. I'm working on an ITunes list. Thanks for doing this!

Well the 70s Poll would lessen it and in the 60s Poll it would become a non-issue anyway.

Looking forward to those two.

And I agree with whoever it was that said the 60s Poll should be isolated to itself and not include pre-60s material.

Well why not banned Michael's AND Madonna's songs while we're at it?

This poll is about songs/albums from the 1980's. Seeing a lot of Prince songs is understandable based on these circumstances.
