No problem with that my friend. But there IS a problem we get heads-ups to Michael Moore films and other artists' art exhibitions instead of unreleased music or full concert dvds from a website we didn't pay 77 $ for just to get some bs like that. I'm not that much a "fan" of Prince as a human being that I'd plaster my walls with pictures of him. Still I'm a HUGE fan of his music, and to get some of that was the deal that was promised to us when we pulled out our credit cards.
So can we please stop all that "why are you guys always moaning" bs and focus on what that website was all about to be?? It's kinda retarded to find ANYTHING brilliant just because it's on P's official website, isn't it??

Well Prince probably didn't give them much to work with, so the designers may as well do for self and promote their own tangentially Prince-related work.

It's November; doesn't Prince usually go on vacation during the winter months?

..and what's this supposed to mean? I mean, is your bank account on hold when the bank's CEO is on holidays? Are you saying you don't expect further content until Mr. P is back from skiing? lol

it is unexceptional art work , , , , and using an Internet venue paid for by paying fans to promote other shit to buy is downright tacky.

No more candles, cologne, photos, overpriced Opals, bad quality videos, cheap t-shirts a size too small, proteges, and gossip about exclusive Hollywood mansion concerts.

Bring on the F.U.N.K.
Every day should b a COSMIC DAY!

do you think maybe, just maybe, that we shouldn't be so eager to swallow every piece of bait Prince throws at the public?

Beatles fans get box sets

Beck fans get new music off his web site for free

Bjork fans get endless singles and remixes and B-sides

Hendrix, Grateful Dead and Doors fans get official bootleg releases

Bob Dylan fans get quality music both old and new

Led Zep fans get multi-DVD concert releases

Michael Jackson and Madonna fans get tons of stuff (albeit not that well thought out, yet they get it all the same)

Pearl Jam and Black Crowes fans get instant concert CDs

Miles Davis fans get endless box sets and lately a 70+ CD/DVD box set with original replicas of album sleeves

and what do we get? please tell me? I joined here to have a voice, I have listened to Prince since the early 80s, saw Purple Rain in Los Angeles when it came out, saw him live in 88 and 92, bought all the music he put out, but never ever any merchandise.

I stupidly joined Scrotusflow3r.com and have basically forgotten about it. I just don't ever sit on a computer and watch Prince videos, wear t-shirts or stand in line to buy a ticket (not for anybody). I just want the new music I love, and it isn't happening,

You're right, that is the black cloud. Thanks.

The way the light is reflecting off it in that black-and-white picture, at first glance it looks like a blend of light and dark natural woods.

lol well he did bill his October Paisley Park show as "the last jam of 2009."

I expect the rest of the year to be quiet. Plus, I don't expect a whole lot of new content until early spring, when time for renewal comes up.

I pretty sure that's just the Blue Cloud, in B&W.

The black cloud was used twice - during Parade (with exposed wood neck) and during Batman (all black).

Thank you for putting it in some context, finally...
Thank you for your first sentence, especially...

Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU!

And PS @ NuPwrSoul: I don't even expect the man to record new stuff to make us happy, i just expect him to put something from his massive archive on that site to make us feel better. In this respect, he could go for a 3-year time-out and still satisfy us. Him being "active" doesn't have ANYTHING to do with the site being "quiet", nothing. And yes, you might be right about some content when renewals are in question. But then I HOPE EVERYBODY here knows how to show him a finger... confused

OK, look, this is from the semi-official press release that was circulated all over the web before LF started:

"As soon as the site goes live, fans will have access to new content including digital downloads of his new studio albums [...]; concert tickets; sneak peaks at upcoming events; live concert footage; exclusive imagery from past albums and other exclusive photos for an annual membership fee of $77.
LotusFlow3r.com is an entire interactive galaxy, [...], that takes the Prince fans into three distinctly different worlds emanating the feel of the three new albums in a high-end 3-D style design. [...] Prince also plans to give his fans access to tickets to live shows, concert footage from past performances, exclusive imagery from his past albums and other exclusive photos, exclusive information about any private or secret shows, as well as exclusive content that will only be available in the first week of the site launch and may never become available again. [...] Over time, Prince will continue to give fans more access to high-end never released photos and video content and much more."

OK, now what would have made that a "promise"? Hmmm... Maybe like this?

"Over time, Prince will continue to give fans more access to high-end never released photos and video content and much more. Promised!"

And do we really need to argue about the plain lies included in the text above?

I think it has to be the Black Cloud since the Blue Clouds had white pick-up covers and this one has (probably) black pick-up covers as did both Black Clouds.

All that matters are the terms of sale and service on lotusflow3r.com :
http://lotusflow3r.com/terms.html

And becauese I learned my lesson well in the past I didn't believe the hype. All your hopes you projected on this site were just wishful thinking, but nothing more concrete than the album download was promised.
