At Ticketmaster my receipt for the 7PM show says "Seats 291" and for the midnight charity show says "Seats 7". I wonder what to make of that "Seats 7"?

A trusted friend just told me that these shows are most likely at The House of Blues on Sunset for what it's worth.

Good call. thumbs up!

I'm kinda excited and yet really nervous that this won't live up to the hype.

With the venue being the House of Blues, it WILL live up to the hype.

Has anyone been 2 the Palladium since they renovated it?

Heard its much better now...

Saw The Cars there last week. They were horrendous. Sound was muddy. But that may have been The Cars' fault. They are known for being bad live and they lived up to their reputation!

I saw a band called Oysterhead there once and they sounded good. Tip for Palladium is to get close to the stage, so get there early. It is very hard to see from the back or sides, and there is no room to move around.

I'm doing the trifecta tonight!!!

And sorta hoping it's all at HOB so I don't have to chase prince between shows.

House of Blues makes sense capacity-wise. How's the sound there? I've never been.

LocationReception CapacityBanquet CapacityTheater Seating Capacity
Music Hall 800 200 350
Music Hall with Rails 1,000 315 400
Porch Restaurant 250 200 50
Foundation Room 300 120 70
Foundation Parish 75 50 70
Foundation Patio 30 26 26
Captains Room 35 35 N/A
Entire Venue 1,500 500 1,500

You're the winner for the night then, because there is NO better venue for Prince in this world...in my opinion. I went to a private show he did in the Parish Room, AMAZING. I've seen him perform in the main room...with Stevie Wonder getting on stage with him...AMAZING. As I mentioned before, this is the perfect venue for him to pull off this type of itenerary . . . didn't think he could bump the Bob Dylan tribute, so I was wrong . . . but you couldn't have asked for a better venue for Prince. I know one of the orgers is gonna get mad at me, but I have to say: EVERYONE, stop what you're doing and make arrangements to either see or hear Prince tonight. You HAVE to go. Anyone that has extra tickets for ANY of the shows, please send me a note, because I have a line of people backed up that want to experience Prince tonight. Now, ONE disclaimer, I have no idea which one will be the best show, I've read the thoughts that people have, but I wouldn't be so sure about the speculations per duration of each show and which one will be the best...which again is why...you should be VERY happy. party excited highfive dancing jig

I was asking about CAPACITY. That's what the "Seats" seem to signify.

291 could be their main Music Hall. But "7"? Is that a table capacity?

there is $7 parking if you take a left on the second street past the HOB on the side street. also, since its wednesday, you can probably find free street parking.

Purple Panic... It's all part of the fun.

Both HOB & Palladium are LiveNation venues, I believe.

Anyone notice it's not a "Late Night Jam" anymore? Just "Prince"? Do you think it'll be more traditional? Either way, I'm so excited I couldn't sleep last night! My fiance and I are going to see Prince for the first time!

You guys know that Prince is obsessed with the number 7, right?

It's probably just his personal superstition.

By the way, at the first night at The Forum, the lights went out and on 7 times before the show started. smile
