Start to be curious about the first show.... Tix are still available.

10:00 show says 250 capacity & 12:00 show says 100 capacity.

The first show must be a bigger venue.

Im kinda thinking the Palladium, El Rey, maybe Pantages

El Rey & HOB have other events scheduled.... I don't think Pantages is General Admission (could be wrong though). Palladium has nothing on the calendar right now.

Pantages is all seating. No GA.

Pantages is too large to be considered "small venue." Prince could just hold some concerts there as part of the 21 night run. Capacity is 2,700...it would be more intimate than the Forum and a great option, that's for sure. The Wiltern and Orpheum Theatres would also qualify...

Anywhere can be GA if you want it to be. You just choose your seat when you arrive.

I guess "small" is a vague concept - compared to the Forum, the Wiltern, Pantages, etc. are all small.

Not when the capacity is announced at 250 for the second show and 100 for the third. That eliminates venues that hold upwards of 3,000 people such as the Wiltern, Pantages, Orpheum, etc.

They may be smaller than the Forum but they are not considered small venues. Those are mid-sized halls.

LiveNation and TicketMaster are 2 company's, they have tried to become one,

monopoly's comission stopped it, so they trade as seperate companys.

I haven't been able to pull tickets for the 10PM since the on-sale time. Maybe people are returning them after their initial impulse buy? It'll be a one-hour show at the most, and he's likely to defer to his band for much of the noodling. So I understand the trepidation.

But if it's only an audience of 250, it'll be half the size of the Troubadour, and that's pretty damn cool.

All the shows will probably be longer than 90 minutes, shorter than 2 hours.

There was nowhere near 500 people at the Troubadour.

I'd venture half that amount.

no one else read the advertising as "twenty one night stand" = "20" one night stand?

maybe only 20 shows total?

and if you count troubadour and these 3 club shows, that's 20 on may 29th

i'm in the same boat as you. i am hoping he does la live again and hits club nokia, nokia theater and conga room so it's within walking distance. driving from venue to venue will suck.

Troubadour's capacity is 500 people, and both shows sold out. That would make me think that there were 500 at each show, but maybe Prince didn't want to pack the place? Just guessing....

Yeah, there definitely weren't 500 people at the troubadour shows. I was told they sold 250 tickets, so I'd venture to guess there 300 or so people there. I've been to MUCH more crowded shows there before.

The booking lady at the Troubadour told me capacity is 400 and that includes staff, crew and the private "VIP" area upstairs. I guess that would put a sold out show around 3-350 ticket holders.

Looks like they over-estimated demand for the early show at $200 a pop. It's probably in a bigger venue.

I'll be watching/hoping for last minute tickets to be dumped at half-price tomorrow.
