Halle became famous AFTER she cut her hair and always looks crazy with weave and has seen her popularity dip when she attempts to go long. She became an icon of black hair to sistas everywhere overnight after Boomerang. And Sharon also looks best in a short cut IMO too.

Halle's kid might grow up with a complex, perhaps suffer an identity crisis. She's got two parents possibly arguing over whether she's black or not and she looks obviously mixed so even when she's older and makes friends and new acquaintances - the question of her ethnicity and how she identifies herself will be raised.

Halle needs to just acknowledge her child is mixed and let it go at that. She can ensure her child has a pro-black attitude and embraces African-American culture just by providing her with the proper education on black & African history/contributions and exposing her to positive black role models. The idea of her going public about her belief in the one-drop theory just makes her look ignorant IMO. Also makes her look phony as hell. I agree. Halle chose to identify as black instead of mixed, and it was a choice she made on her own. I think the whole issue of them fighting over their child's ethnicity is stupid, because the child is a part of both of them. If he wanted his child to be white woman then he should have chose a white woman to be his child's mother, and given the fact that Halle is half-Black, it makes me wonder then if he feels that strongly against "Black", then why the hell did he get together with Halle? Idiot. If Halle wanted a Black man and to be the father of her child, then like you said, she should have chosen a Black man to be a father of her child. Neither of them (Halle & Gabriel) realize the damage they are doing to their own custody cases. All this airing of dirty laundry and possibly spewing lies to the media is just hurting their individual cases and possibly will have a negative affect on the mental well being of their daughter. Do they not think Nahla will learn of this racial bickering as she gets older?
