Oh my GAh!!! faint hug

Chile you are on a roll!

I hope she's not playing that spicy latina card cuz men, and I'm gon say it, especially a lot of white men love stereotyping the colored sistahs and making them out to be these sex kittens ready to jump on the dick. I hope to the lord almighty that maybe she just got her boobs done and wore tight clothes because she had other career aspirations than working for Citibank all her life or maybe she just wanted to feel young and sexy for herself and not necessarily to help some old coot get his jollies off. I hope for this but my gut tells me otherwise. My gut tells me she indeed was a flirt and the game backfired on her.

Still....I want her to at least get a settlement out of this even if she can't keep her job. No matter how hot she may look...if she did her job right and didn't violate company policy or engage in harassment herself then she doesn't deserve to be fired.

It's all about attitude and selling yourself. If you sell "sexy" men may assume you just want to whore yourself around. Women are usually considered sexy when they have mastered the art of being subtle and charming. Looks really doesn't have anything to do with being sexy.

I do hope she really was just as innocent as she claimes. For real, Latinas for the most part don't have to advertise because of how others view us. Even ugly Latinas and fat Latinas get plenty of offers.

Heck even our own Latino men tend to be possesive because of these same stupid stereotypes. dead

If she was serious about her job, and tried her best, I hope she does win from this situation.

Geisha girl syndrome....the woman is all about pleasuring the man...waiting on him hand and foot and looking sexy the whole time. Fuuckk that!

And you are so right. If you feel sexy on the inside then you don't have to dress a certain way...your inner sexiness and confidence will show no matter what you're wearing.

But some women can dress sexy AND exude the inner sexiness and confidence. Double whammy! smile

And this is why I don't have a job..lol Kidding...

But seriously now? I don't think she violated the dress code. Tailored suits and turtlenecks and such...it's not like the woman is dressing like Erin Brockovich.

Ay...the curse of being beautiful...

I hope she sued.

Some people on this thread are suggesting she dress down. If Citibank haven't said it, tinaz, then people here certainly have. If an overweight woman with very large breasts wore typical office wear like a fitted turtleneck, folks might be saying her boobs are so prominent it's a distraction and that she might be better off getting a reduction, almost certainly framing these remarks in a very negative way, and plenty of ppl would cry discrimination and say she has every right to wear exactly what her slimmer female co-workers wear. This woman just happens to have what many ppl consider a good body with lots of curves, so the same clothes are seen to look very attractive on her, yet the reaction is she has to dress more frumpy or else find employment somewhere more appropriate like doing porn. Regardless of this woman's intentions and what the truth is being her being fired, what she did or didn't wear and why, it's this mentality I have a problem with. There's some jealousy in there, I've no doubt, some catiness, and double standards. IMHO in theory, a woman with her body, looking how she does, if her work is competent, should be able to wear the clothes we've seen in those vids, being a credible, respected person in a work environment, without her appearance being an issue (as far as her being accountable for herself, not what others may make an issue out of).

This sounds pretty fair, actually hmmm

It's a little off-topic, but this thread got me thinking about something. I think my wife's attractive, and when we go out she likes to wear short skirts and boots or high-heels. If I walk down Khao San Road with her you can bet someone will think she's a prostitute. People we've met have said as much and tried to belittle her (and me). The thing is, going out to a pub and bar area, isn't a short skirt and high shoes kinda normal attire? Prostitutes do often wear short skirts and high shoes, but is that any reason for my wife not to? And if she looks good, does that make her more likely to be labeled a prostitute? Somehow I think it does, but why is that? Because she's a Thai girl, walking alongside a white man in a pub and bar area, should she take this into account and dress down? A former friend of mine suggested as much, saying it would show more respect for me and the marriage, but I disagreed with him, thinking it's not our concern. It has nothing to do with the truth and everything to do with peoples' assumptions and stereotypes.

Wow.This is a tough one to wade through. On one hand I guess you could say when you go out she basically dresses in or embraces trendy looks you would see on anyone, but because of the mixed race couple factor, people throw around the prostitute stereotype? That sucks!

No offense, but your friend is an idiot who should mind his own business. I'd be proud to have a woman who looks good and keeps it together. Who the fuck cares what others think? My thing is, if your attire brings out your best assets, there's no problem.

I've always said, men & women, if ya got it, flaunt it, 'cause it won't last forever. smile

Definitely, the mixed race couple thing is a factor, as is the context of where we're hanging out, plus my wife is very outgoing and confident. All contribute to it.

None taken. I said 'former friend', after all, and the reasons for that are many but including things like in my post above. lol I take the same view as you about it. I'm coming up to 29 and my wife will soon be 31. We're not getting any younger, but we still look a'ight, so I encourage her to have fun and enjoy looking good and at the same time try to follow my own advice. My wife dresses so conservatively most of the time in her roles as aunty, sister, daughter, neice, housewife etc. and her friends at the market always say she should wear make-up more often since she hardly ever does. So when we're going out it's fun for her to put make-up on and wear something a little more sexy. smile
