Are the words "tight clothing" in any company's policy on "inappropriate dress?"

I bet they are.

BTW I would definitely welcome such distractions in my office

...but it certainly seems like the popular opinion is that she's full of shit, and is just an attention seeking egotistical whore that should be doing something like porn instead (cuz you know, that's the only thing really attractive women with kick ass bodies should really be doing).

Okay, THAT's not fair, but I think that she's definitely milking the attention she's receiving.

Quite honestly, she could have sued or handled it without ever talking to the media.

I heard about it first on news radio. And it was on the TV news. And it was in the papers. And it's on the Internet. If she didn't want attention, she would have declined comment.

I saw some of both, personally

But yeah the suit--jacket & skirt--looked fine.

The ass/pants? tight. One shirt in particular, very tight.

Again, I would not have issue (depending on her behavior), she dresses nicer than most people I work with, but I'm just saying there are probably policies that mention tight clothing and some of hers was definitely tight.

I still say, if it doesn't fit right don't wear it to work.

And if she was doing nothing wrong, then she could've handled her business without soaking up all the attention. We would not have known WHAT she was wearing if she wasn't everywhere talking about it.

She's got a slammin' body so if she wears a pencil skirt and turtleneck it looks hot and ppl look at her, whereas a girl without her curves in the same attire doesn't look as hot and ppl don't stare as much or not at all. It's discrimination.

That black fitted dress was a little too over the top for a professional business woman. That is a dress for "the club" or some other non work related event. Women should dress with maturity and professionalizm.

Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that?

I didn't see any outfit in that vid that I thought was over-the-top. I think I saw the black fitted dress you're talking about. She looks really good in it, probably better than the majority of women who might wear it. I don't see that as a reason not to wear it. It's nice to look good. smile

It was a nice dress but the context in which she was wearing it was definitely not appropriate. That dress is not for work, any professional would know that. You are at work to do a job, not to showcase your "assets". You should be looking respectable, and you should serve as a representative of the company that you work for. If she was in fact a business banker, she likely met with clients. I would not want an employee to look like she was about to go to "the club" while she is representing my company with my clients. I think Citibank did the right thing by addressing the matter with her. I am unsure about all of the real reasons for her being fired. As a woman, I take offense when men look at my breast and my ass, so I definitely would not be dressing that way in a place of business. It has nothing to do with female hating co-workers, it has to do with self respect in my opinion. I don't want to be looked at like "a piece of meat". Women have fought too hard and too long to be respected as equals. I have yet to see a man come to work with his "jewels" intentionally visible.

Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that?

falloff at the lawyer. He is the wrong dude for this case. Is she paying him in installments?

She ought to come to LA. She will be on the plain side and no one will bother her but she will still get paid.

I do... the turtle neck for example. It looks nice, fitted... but add the wrong bra that has her nipples poking through the fabric then it becomes wrong for the work place. IF she wore a bra at all.

The trousers... fitted as well, but if she's twitching hard as she walks by, then its a distraction and over the top. A mean walk can be a distraction also, never mind adding to that fitted clothing that amplifies a gorgeous figure.

I believe the problem probrably has more to do with her attitude and how her slamming body wears in those office clothes that may make someone stare a bit too long.

I am guessing of course, but she did say that this happens at ALL her places of employment which leads me to think its more her than her employer IMHO.

Heck, they can't ALL be wrong.

I had nipple problems w/ AC in the summer. I have big tits too, and fat or thin, you have to wear the right under garmets to keep the girls under control. I know you feel me. wink

Oh, and I am not hating (not posed to you, just others that might think I'm dogging Ms. Sexy)... I was lucky enough to work at a store that had mirrors every where, when I saw my own nipples poking through shirts, bra sillouettes. This caused me to tone down my own over all look. I bet if she worked in a room full of mirrors she would see what others see and understand what to do, and what NOT to wear.

^^ I totally agree.

Using myself as an example...

I have a big butt, so I turn around after I get dressed and make sure that I don't become a teenage boy's fantasy when I leave the house.

I was never conscious of it until a few years ago, when a couple of former students (in their 20s) came to visit me and they were "reminiscing" about how much they loved when I turned around to write on the board!

eek redface

Now I wear long jackets or don't tuck my shirt in when the pants cling too much.

Whether we like it or not, we need to be mindful of the image we convey through our clothes.

All I got from this chick in the article is that we shouldn't bother to teach young girls that they need to dress appropriately in school- and later in the workplace. We can just wear what we want, and all we have to do is SUE if someone says something to us about it. confused

First off

1. They told you they would gaze upon your booty? Wow lol

2. We're gonna need pictures to decide if this is true lol lol lol lol

Like I said, go to any bank or office around the city and you'll see women dressed like this - of all shapes and sizes.

When I was in a more professional setting I dressed like this. It’s my style, it’s how I dress and it’s definitely professional.

Don't feel like adding a bunch of quotes on my phone here, so I basically agree with all of JustErin's points. An obese woman told to dress differently would get sympathy. This woman gets skepticism and insults.
