Not sure if this is real or not...

Some information about the Limited Edition :

- The CD will be housed in a candy box that comes with zipper
- A pack of 35 mint flavour candies in transparent wrappers will be packed in the box as well
- It comes with several Handy Candy promotional pin badges
- It also comes with 16 pages of color CD booklet
- Includes additional 2 more 4M remixes
- Comes with a tracklisting sticker on the back of the candy box (just like ROL, Music limited edition)

Looks kinda fan made, but it's a nice idea if it's produced properly.

That 4 Minutes song is absolutely wretched. Well, Madonna has always been the queen of cashing in on trends. Now she's jumped on the trend to make music that's pure shit. Good for her?

What exactly is the point in going to the trouble of posting a negative comment in a thread of something that you do not like-
I find it annoying that people go out of their way to both be an online critic AND spoil other people's enjoyment.
If you don't like something then just let it pass or put your distaste into something constructive...sorry, but it really gets to me...
I really do not like Mariah Carey, but I don't go out of my way to post in a thread about her that I hate her new single etc- what is the point.
Enjoy what you enjoy and move on...

I actually like Madonna, but this song is garbage. Sorry, I thought this was a music forum where the open expression of diverse opinions was allowed.

Sorry. The song is amazing. I beg forgiveness of thee, Lord Madge.

I see nothing wrong with discussing/debating your likes AND dislikes. It's healthy. That's what this Non-Prince forum is here for. It's not a Madonna, Mariah, Janet, Michael, etc. fan forum, so people are allowed to say they think a song or an artist is shit. That's why the org is wonderful, because eclecticism is encouraged. Why should people stifle their views? When it crosses over into trolling or baiting, it's another matter. However, stating once that you think the song is shit is not trolling/baiting.

Also, how exactly can someone else's opinion spoil your enjoyment if you are secure with your own opinion?

Besides, it's not like I came in here and said something pointless like, "Madonna is a whore!!"

I just think this song is awful. It's another stale, insipid, uninspired dance track with the obligatory popular guest artist.

We know Madonna is capable of something more provocative or insightful than this. Is it too much to expect a little more maturity (in the form of more substantial subject matter) in songs from a middle aged woman?

I don't know if this has been posted on the other thread, but here is Madonna's new Sunsilk commerial, which uses the music from "4 Minutes"...

"4 Minutes" will also be featured in an upcoming movie called "Get Smart".The producers of that film want Madonna and Justin to film a video for the song....a separate video from the "official" video that they already filmed (presumably, the new video would include scenes from the film). No word yet on if it'll happen.

But this is how you "work" a single. You gotta think outside the box....find new and different ways to promote/market your song.Madonna is making sure that "4 Minutes" gets maximum exposure. She knows that she can't sit back and rely on the record label to do all the work.

Sorry- It just appears sometimes that Madonna is criticized, slated and dismissed while other artists get away with music murder- it's almost like she's become the queen of scapegoating...
maybe because she meant so much more in the past or that she has just lost it music wise -I don't know.
In my teens her music was all I had in life (long depressing story- not ready to share) and that I had to defend her and myself against others- guess I cannot let that go.
I also agree on the org being a place of diverse tastes and opinions- mine run from Eartha Kitt to Aphex Twin to Classical to Punk, but I do think it's a bit pointless to say somethings 'absolutely wretched' or that Madonna's 'jumped on the trend to make music that's pure shit'...it's not very creative, or explain it's standing and can be seen as baiting.

The UK edition of Elle magazine will come out with two different Madonna covers bearing two completely different images. One image will be used for the regular edition and another one will be exclusive to people who receive the subscribers edition.

I don't understand negativity on a fan forum, which should be a celebration of the artist. But, I have to say, it exists on all fan forums that I have visited. Why someone with a Mariah avatar would sign up on a Janet forum and then whine about Janet 24/7 is completely beyond me.

I don't understand negativity on ANY forum- unless it's set up for that or it's a thread called "We hate artist X". I find online that it's so easy to be negative and use freedom of speech as an easy way out or that this has become acceptable critique...I love criticism and opinion, but sometimes it's lazy, pointless and, as I said before, it does nothing but baits a fan of something with nothing more than a provocative sentence delivered in a negative way. There are so many artists out there or songs that annoy me, but I'd never actively go into those forums to state my opinion as I know that those people love their work etc- it's pointless. I guess I'm being idealistic, but the online critic has become boring and desperate and everyone now has an opinion on everything.
I understand that people can say whatever they like, where they like, how they like and that threads are open, but I'm just so bored of 'X from X saying that X is shit' just because they can.
Where is the love- not online.
