That all sound very good in theory, but how are you going to put this in practice? How will you present the campaign, relying on an assumption that a record company is going to grant our wishes and how will you convince people to join in on a campaign based on a song that you can't buy individually? How will you convince WBR to release the song separately? What if it never gets released individually, then the campaign could just turn out to be a big waste of time. Not everyone will want to purchase the whole Prince4Ever Hits album.

There isn't that much time left until the strategic weeks and by the time Moonbeam Levels comes out, if it does, there will be even less time to gather the troups.

.

Why not gather the troups now, base the campaign on a good, solid (and available) song approved by the majority and if the people are interested, we can always invite them to also purchase Moonbeam Levels if it becomes available.

Yes I agree Moonbeam Levels it would be the only sensible choice. Or maybe Nothing compares 2 u if it is a different version with just Prince vocals. There is an album to promote for Christmas, 4ever and I would choose a song from the album. Best option would be a song which was not released yet.

So far and from the information I got, it looks like this is available for album purchase only. If anyone knows any different, please inform us asap so we can amend the list. As explained further up in post #241, in response to OperatingThetan, we can still include the song in the campaign whenever it becomes available, if it does. Personnally, I feel that it will be easier to campaign for a 99p downloadable track rather than a whole album, which involves more money and which contains a lot of songs that a lot of people will already own.

I think we'd all be behind Moonbeam Levels - no doubt - but it's just not possible right now because it's not available as an individual download (let alone a real, 'physical' single)!

If WB does release it - cool - we can purchase and push it as hard as we like...However, as Cherry said, time is running short, and ML isn't available to purchase - so that's that (for now)!

You're right, they really need to do something about it or else his legacy could gradually dwindle away. Younger generations do love everything digital... A lot of it is on tidal though, which could be a good landing place for new fans and they can always order CD albums if they're keen. There were no downloads when I became a fan, that didn't prevent me from listening to his music. I only had vinyls to start with but that's only because my family was REALLY late to swich over to CD's.
