I have just updated the FB info to inform everyone that the pre-selection of songs will end tomorrow night (Monday 31st), at midnight UK time and not today as I had wrongly stated earlier - apologies for the confusion -so you've still got until then to send us your choices. For those who are just joining us, the complete list of songs to choose from is on the first page of this thread.

Today is the last day to select THREE of your favourite songs from the list on page 1 of this thread, before the final poll.

The poll will be published this week on the 'Prince4Christmas' Facebook page and will consist of the three songs that have been chosen by the most participants on Prince.org and FB. The song that gets the most votes in the poll will then become the focus of our campaign. It is also possible that we will add Moonbeam Levels to our campaign, if it becomes available for download in time for the action.

Sorry I've been out and about all day and haven't read a lot of updates... I have just had a look and I cannot see this on Amazon, I can only see the album available as an audio CD pre-order. Can anyone else confirm the info Dibblekins has just posted? This might change the campaign outcome. If true, that would leave us with three options:

.

1. We switch to a Moonbeam Levels only campaign, or

2. We stick to plan A and let the purchase of ML happen naturally

3. We campaign for two songs (i.e. Moonbeam Levels PLUS whatever song comes through after the poll).

I might have to create a poll just to find out what people prefer to do...

.

I really think Paisley Park should be realeased as a single for christmas, it's a great postive song that could represent the Prince's scense.

Yes I too think Paisley Park would have been a very positive and relevant choice, and a few other people have made similar comments to yours but we just had to go with whatever songs the majority wants. If the campaign is successful, perhaps we could make this a regular thing and say, have another one in the Springtime, and who knows, maybe Paisley Park will be the next favourite.

Just what I was thinking... It's people's choice after all, and it's about snow. And it is one of his most beautiful song too. It doesn't really matter whether is is Christmas related or not as the main thing is that it gets people's support and that everyone downloads it, which is more likely to happen if the majority likes it...

But to think that if it gets to Number 1, it will also be played on the radio again and if there is one song that still makes me sad, this is definitely the one... Oh well, there's still 4 days left, and nothing is impossible!
