Maybe if more people say something his fans can stop blaming folks and move on. Its hard to have closure when you dont know what happened.

I'm now starting to wonder just how serious his hip pain really was. If she was so close to him, how did she not know he was in major pain? She said he moved "swiftly" and there was no evidence of hip pain. Also, the YouTuber .. Maya, I think her name was, who photographed Prince for his last album said the same thing .. no evidence of pain and that he moved swiftly in platform flip flops or something. Has there ever been footage of him hobbling? I'm wondering if somehow he got hooked on the painkillers but without the pain. The reason I bring this up is because it explains how he could have hid his addiction so well. [Edited 6/21/16 18:18pm] -- The autopsy report showed scars on both legs and Billy Sparks said he had hip surgery not replacement.

True. But...had he seen someone else, he could have used methadone or suboxone to come off of the fentanyl. From what has been said, Schulenberg didn't prescribe narcotics which makes it sound like he was trying to cold turkey it, or at the least maybe using benzos to counter act the withdrawals...neither of which would be a good scenerio and could lead to OD. It's moot now. coulda woulda shoulda. It is what it is, I hope whatever Schulenberg did comes to light. If he was doing things on the up and up, he would still have his job IMO. But he doesn't and he has disappeared.

This may be totally off topic but what I can't understand is why some people say they didn't know he was in pain and someone else said he was in pain all the time. I just don't understand any of this. It's like I have more questions than answers. We will probably never know the true story. #LoveU4EverMyPrince💜💜💜 #UntilTheEndOfTime💜💜💜

Yes be careful. Sometimes it's unavoidable to be on pain meds. Dr. Drew I think said if you take them for 2 weeks or less, it's fine, but more time than that is risky and can cause an addiction that you maybe cannot control. Can I just say I had a friend that used to use fentanyl and pain pills and it did not make him sleepy or out of it. In fact, he got addicted because it physically makes you addicted you cannot stop without going into full blown withdrawal - it's chemistry. Also, it took all of his pain away so he was able to do things and function. And for him, it actually gave him a "boost" as he told me. Like it gave him a little pep. I think every one is different, but for his brain it did that for him. You could never tell he was on anything, until he got to a point where he was doing too much and mixing with alcohol, then he had to get help. But you cannot just stop cold turkey or you get sick or worse. He had to get help and get on other drugs to get off the drugs. It's really jacked up. I can easily see how Prince got roped into this cycle. The smartest, best people get sucked in. The drugs make you dependent and feel no pain. It's so dangerous. well, it's what's been said in the media since Prince died. here in seattle, police have saved several lives of people they come across who are unconscious with some kind of narcan spray. the country is having a serious problem with not just opioids but all kinds of drugs. Yeah it's that bad. High schools are allowed (and encouraged with free doses) to have it on hand. http://www.usnews.com/new...gh-schools It's THAT ugly. But Narcan is just a band aide and a false sense of security for addicts, parents/ loved ones. Unless your opioid dependent loved one is with you 24/7- how would you feel having that in your house, your kid goes to their room, you go to yours, you go to bed- they get high... The narcan sitting in the medicine cabinet. Surprise, surprise.
Another treat. Another trick.

Almost as if she was reading more into the relationship. I don't know how else to say it without coming across as flippant or disrespectful. Granted, grief has no textbook or guidelines. It just seems very odd to me. I hope she finds peace.

If he was terminal, would he have *wanted* to get off the drugs? I think all this talk about illness was from people trying to make sense of the symptoms they saw -- and someone selling a story for $$$$. Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

It just seems very odd to me. I hope she finds peace. Perhaps a lot of fans are reading more into it. we are definitely socialized to equate deep emotional relartionships with the opposite sex as being romantic/sexual in nature. as a culture we have made the word "intimate" only refer to romantic relationships. I personally just get tthe vibe that they had a super close relationship. Period. COuld it have been romantic? Hell yeah. Platonic friends dont generally tell each other "i want to take up all your time and be the only one u hang out with".. But either way its none of our biz. shes hurting. whatever they were to each other he meant something to her and that matters. she deserves a massive hug. i hope she finds peace. i couldnt imagine losing my partner. and back in highschool had i lost the person that was my best friend i would have been crushed, we shared a highly intense emotional relationship - nothing romantic about it. its not abnormal to love deeply outside off a romantic relationship. Honestly this struck me too, because that was the first thing I thought may have happened when we found out how his body was found. I've witnessed more than one seizure and they all happened in a similar fashion. Sitting and talking one second, eye fixed and straight to the floor the next.

Im past the blame game but this bullshit about fans dont have a right to know what happened to Prince bothers me. His fans supported his endeavors and theirs too. His fans are the reason they all were successful so to just close us out IMHO is wrong. I know some disagree, but so be it.
