But A LOT haven't! Unfortunately most they're not here anymore.....Also the ones that are here sound NOWHERE near as good vocally as does, or still able 2 churn out albums or singles as quickly as still does 4 OVER 35 YEARS... [Edited 7/1/15 10:21am] will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

I've been listening to this song over and over and over all day... The last PRINCE song to make me feel that was was when I heard Fury and The Word...

I agree - but I kinda like it when Prince is unconventional. Sometimes his hookless songs fall flat but I'm really digging this. Sonically there is some great stuff happening here and his guitar tone and notes are smokin.

Prince at 57 may have just composed an "I can come harder than you" track that sounds so beautifully authentic that it might even coax a smile out of the last few breaths of the person it just stabbed. [Edited 7/1/15 10:53am]

I'm going to take the pass and not listen to this song right now. I'll just see if this makes it onto his new album then listen to it in that context. If it doesn't make the album then I'll check it out. It wouldn't be hard to find.

Like many Prince tracks, it doesn't hit me the first time I listen to it. I start to like it after the second listen. Sounds good. Change it one more time..

ComeHereLetMeCutYourHair said: I think these are the lyrics:
It’s nothing for the rocker and nothing to condemn Because in between this waking life, REM She walked into the party and told me to live up to her dreams We’re about to get it started, turn my guitar up… So I can make this woman scream
It’s time to check your cell phone, red bull and petron Ain’t no rapper trying to be a singer, I’m gonna make her moan Sade and Babyface, R&B ain’t got no place Just put some rock on and better cover your ears… Because you’re about to hear a woman just scream Scream
She said if I don’t really get to kiss you, I’m really gonna make a scene I said Do u want me to be another rip in your jeans? That’s when she ordered strawberry, Chocolate and whip cream, I turned my guitar up and this woman screamed, screamed, screamed, screamed
She likes to party hard, she’s a hard rock lover party hard, she’s a hard rock lover now She likes to party hard, she’s a hard rock lover party hard, she’s a hard rock lover now
Here the obligatory post complaining about the terrible lyrics that a 5 y/o could write.

I actually really don't mind the lyrics. Or the song. It confused me when I listened to it this morning. But it finds it's groove, like the backing drum beat with the guitar actually screaming in the background is damn good. At the very least you can appreciate the production on this one. I don't think he's ever done a song that sounds like this....

... It's a damn good song! Is it the same musical and lyrical content of Adore or Joy in Repetition... No ofc not, but it's a good song. A new PRINCE song in 2015... It sounds damn good.
About the lyrics... Hell if he wrote and released KISS in 2015 y'all would be trashing that as well, lets face it.
Just appreciate the fact he is still putting out NEW music regardless... 35 years later.

Agreed. This is cool, modern and interesting and definitely sounds like a continuation of the AOA vibe, but with extra guitar. And some great screams too. Man, that super-high one sent shivers down my spine.
Hope we get to hear more like this for the next album .

Bit crap.
His lyrics are so shoddy these days. Hard to believe these lyrics were written by the same man who wrote WDC and Forever In My Life.
And for a song with "Hard Rock" in the title, it really doesn't rock very hard at all. [Edited 7/1/15 13:00pm]
