Wow the song has been taken down already? Never got a chance to listen, do we all need to be up at 3am to have access to this stuff? Come on Prince.

Hm... #different. But is it pleasing? Not sure. Cool atmosphere, nice build, and I definitely like storytelling in a song. But the lyrics seem a little corny, with some fairly dated concepts. I feel like only handful of people, including the fictional protagonist of this song, are really loving hard rock these days. Maybe I'm just agreeing with the "life in a bubble" comment, up the thread a bit. Maybe I should have had my coffee first. Is it better with coffee?

Life in the bubble Its his life as a rock star which none of us are. If you have been to a show, ladies damn near orgasm when he plays a solo..shrugs

The guitar solo is the aural equivalent of sex with Prince, so YES.

Schlomo has definitely been to Prince shows. And solos = hard rock? Your comment is stupid.

I listened once on Soundcloud when I woke up and then it was taken down. Oh, Prince! But it is still floating around out on the interwebs smile

I like it a lot. I agree the ending sounds cut off, but I like hearing some nasty thoughts from Prince again!

Glad to see it's back up on Soundcloud. The very beginning reminds me of "My Jamaican Guy" by Grace Jones. Anybody else hear that?

Definitely a sounds-better-at-3am kind of song. And not a song you should wake up to. Maybe that's why he yanked it. Party hard, you guys. And party responsibly. rainbo

Abysmal production, a blatant attempt at imitating modern r&b (but "improved" by Prince), pathetic lyrics that seem to have been written by a pubescent boy.

.

So of course the famz label this a masterpiece.

Production sounds great. Best in years. Modern R&B imitate PRINCE... Just watch recent Miguel and Bilal interviews...

Nothing is a masterpiece anymore by PRINCE... He's been there done that, but this song is a GOOD song. IMO It's better than anything on AOA, Plectrum, 20Ten, Lotusflower, MPLS Sound... Probably the best song he's put out in the last 6 years.

actually you are a famz like everyone here. or a man with problem typing link in browser.

.

Note that I used the plural "famz", the singular is "fam".

.

No, I'm not a fam. I'm not someone who desperately tries to convince himself that Prince's output of the past 20 years is just as good as his 1980s classics. I'm not someone who proclaims Prince's latest brainfart "fantastic" or a "masterpiece", only to rescind such proclamations six months later. It was really funny to see a lot of famz declare AOA "his best in years", "his best since TGE" or even "his best since D&P" while dismissing Prince's output of the past years.

KCOOLMUZIQ

It's just like prince to tease us with a COMPLETELY different "Masterpiece", than the forthcoming funk classic "Stare". D'angelo wish he can b this prolific... biggrin

How can one human being b this brilliant 4 over 35 YEARS!!! Also it's a prince ONE-MAN-BAND PRODUCTION.

[Edited 7/1/15 7:40am]

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

Guys, really ??????

-

I mean, what a sad "songwriting". Two chords and nothing interesting going on. No interesting changes or bridge(s). By the way, Prince wrote better songs with just ONE chord.

-

It's not because Prince plays (the same) guitar (licks, over and over) that this is a good song.

-

Lyrics are plain aweful.

-

WHAT A FUKCING BORE !

-

And the drumprogramming or whatever smells like Joshua.

-

By the way : when is Prince going to act up his age ???

-

He should stop writing new music ! And be blessed with the best years he had, just like every other old(er) artist. And take better care of his legacy.

I mean, Hardrocklover... really ?????
