good lord, the hate is strong in here today lol

i like it, no, i love it. now i really hope there's an album coming. it would be cool if he'd

mix the best elements of AOA and stuff like this.

totally love the guitar at the 'strawberries' part. only gripe would be that the solo at the

end cuts off way too soon. just like X's Face it seems cut short a bit. so here's to hoping

they'll be on an album in (slightly) extended form.

I'm definitly thinking that this is an edit, it doesn't have that climax that you can feel comming.

My thoughts exactly--the guitar solo builds up and then abruptly cuts off, leaving you wanting more...

I think these are the lyrics:

It’s nothing for the rocker and nothing to condemn

Because in between this waking life, REM

She walked into the party and told me to live up to her dreams

We’re about to get it started, turn my guitar up…

So I can make this woman scream

It’s time to check your cell phone, red bull and petron

Ain’t no rapper trying to be a singer, I’m gonna make her moan

Sade and Babyface, R&B ain’t got no place

Just put some rock on and better cover your ears…

Because you’re about to hear a woman just scream

Scream

She said if I don’t really get to kiss you, I’m really gonna make a scene

I said Do u want me to be another rip in your jeans?

That’s when she ordered strawberry, Chocolate and whip cream,

I turned my guitar up and this woman screamed, screamed, screamed, screamed

She likes to party hard, she’s a hard rock lover

party hard, she’s a hard rock lover now

She likes to party hard, she’s a hard rock lover

party hard, she’s a hard rock lover now

Abysmal production, a blatant attempt at imitating modern r&b (but "improved" by Prince), pathetic lyrics that seem to have been written by a pubescent boy.

So of course the famz label this a masterpiece.

Much like most of Prince's lyrics then.

I love this track. headbang

Listened to this twice.

Sounds like an edit. Need more plays to digest, but IMO this is the first modern Prince song in a while where his voice is sounding super strong. So on that front alone I give this a thumbs up.

You're getting way too predictable, almost a parody of your old self. Some might say just like Prince.

.

My wife listens to a lot of modern R&B and it sounds nothing like this. I dont think its a masterpiece but I like it.

At first listen, I like the music a lot. It's not fantastic, but it's way better than Baltimore or most shit from PlectrumRectum. Nice to hear some guitar. The lyrics aren't as cringeworthy as other Prince songs. And there are no chimp sound effects. Overall, I like it!

I totally agree. This is a solid song... People should give it the props it deserves... A bad song is a bad song... This is NOT a bad song at all.

Contrary to its title, the song doesn't really, well, rock. Not bad by any means, but I want to like it more than I do.

Hopefully the extended version has a light-saber battle with a chimp and chipmunk. And its a duet with Hannah

Hm... #different. But is it pleasing? Not sure. Cool atmosphere, nice build, and I definitely like storytelling in a song. But the lyrics seem a little corny, with some fairly dated concepts. I feel like only handful of people, including the fictional protagonist of this song, are really loving hard rock these days. Maybe I'm just agreeing with the "life in a bubble" comment, up the thread a bit. Maybe I should have had my coffee first. Is it better with coffee?
