The new Bilal is better than this song though, as much as I like it.

Can't you shut up already about this or that artist being better than Prince. Either its Bilal or D'angelo or whoever. Why don't you go hang out on their boards.

Production sounds great. Best in years. Modern R&B imitate PRINCE... Just watch recent Miguel and Bilal interviews...

Nothing is a masterpiece anymore by PRINCE... He's been there done that, but this song is a GOOD song. IMO It's better than anything on AOA, Plectrum, 20Ten, Lotusflower, MPLS Sound... Probably the best song he's put out in the last 6 years.

He needs to work on getting that New Wave psuedo Brit voice back

Here we have the same situation as all new stuff prince drops, folks listen to half the song, come here to bash it, then a month later after 3 listens, the "HARDCORELOVER is growin on me" posts start to appear. If I had a dime for everytime his has hapened........

Give the songs a few listen folks, give them time to perculate, give them time for your mind to recognize the patterns and the beats.

Peace

Abysmal production, a blatant attempt at imitating modern r&b (but "improved" by Prince), pathetic lyrics that seem to have been written by a pubescent boy.

So of course the famz label this a masterpiece.

Hey now! KS creamed his jorts over AOA. I don't think that's a fair assessment of his contributions to this forum.

It seems like the digital kaleidoscope of AOA and the creamy fuzz of PE are having a child.

The only thing that redeems the autotune is the Bob George / God reprise.
Other than that, Wow.

Sonically, we're making progress. Compressed, but tasty.

Vocally?

The man is starting to scare the shit out of me.
He sounds circa ATWIAD / Parade (those whispers!),

his screams are still there, his voice sounds younger than, say, on TRC and LotusFlower.
He sings better than ever, even if construction-wise, he's still a bit on the lazy side.
Prince has a vocal Benjamin Button syndrome.

I'm very curious to hear how it will age, if ever.

And of course there has to be a 2/3 minutes solo.

This is great. Let's hope what we heard previously is not a re-run of "We Gets Up", because that would bring the album down.
"The Gold Standard" set, well, a standard.

prince's vocal range remains unscathed, because he hasn''t abused his body of hard drugs, like other 80's superstars. It's also the reason he still looks decades younger than artist like Madonna.

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

I agree, he looks and sounds younger than he is, but Madonna's never been known to be a hard partier. She's been known to drink herself crazy at her birthday parties, and that's about it. If anything, Madonna looks great lately. She'd look softer, younger if she put on a few pounds, but I don't think she'll do that any time soon.

Plus working out has helped her & prince . Especially when Madonna "fell" a few months ago...
