probably way way overthinking all of this right now, but i just thought -

since he's getting his maters back (presumably with each past album

that is being rereleased he'll get the corresponding master) and he'll

then be able to do what he wants with his music (releasing/publishing)

he might make THESE remasters available for a limited amount of time,

say, like they did with The Black Album back in 1994.

that way everything could be released as it was originally recorded, but

once the initial run is over, he'll put edited versions out there. which

would be a win-win-win: for his faith, for the sale of the remasters (if

they are promoted as being available only for say 1 year they might

sell faster/better) and for sales again since hardcore fans well also be

buying edited, rerecorded versions of his albums.

but like i said, probably way overthinking all of this

Maybe April 14, 2014 was the day Prince signed the deal? "4142014" is the American order of displaying a date, although we usually do it like this: 4/14/2014.

Even when all he did was releasing classics, people wasn't satisfied. Remember Around The World In A Day. I really don't understand how people just fled his music. It was not like Purple Rain, so it sucked right? I loved it. But seriously those number of sales were bad considering he was such a huge star with Purple Rain.

He was always about giving us what we need, and not what we want. We should be careful with what we say. I'm sure he reads the org and often wants to do the opposite, just because he doesn't want to take advices from people. And especially not tiny little anonymous fans on the internet. He wants to prove that there's always another way.

God, that's so weird! That song came on shuffle this morning while I was making breakfast, and I actually listened to it instead of skipping as I usually would. I thought, What a cute little song from a newly signed Prince, eager to please his new bosses. Then I read the news.
