The only thing it really does for me is confirm that the song ain't that great either.

The good thing is, this video is close to reaching a million views on youtube. The bad thing is, lots of commenters are confused about whether this is Prince in the video and lots of people hate the chipmunk voice. Actually, that is also good. It's funny.

And the other funny thing is, Prince posted a video on youtube but he is actually not on youtube.

I was having a look a minute ago and wondering how people can be so slow... Someone wrote that Prince freaked him out because he looks like a sixteen year old girl... Anyway, the response is quite positive, especially compared to the response here...

LOL yes and pretty savage response around here. I am not that into the video either but love the song. I guess Prince still has a huge pull and the fact that he posted a video on youtube makes waves. That is great to see.

I love the song and I have come to really appreciate the video. The clip has (at this moment) 1.12 million views, which is awesome. The "likes" are running 10-1 over the "dislikes" and a fair number of younger people seem to be discovering and digging the track. The whole scenario is a big win for Prince, imo.

I sing, as well, with my sister. She was in the video, with the curly hair. She raps, and I sing, so we have a little duo thing, which Prince may be interested in. He’s helping us, developing us. We might get that going.

After the knee-jerk reaction of hating the video because Prince wasn't in it, I've watched it a couple more times, and you know? It's pretty cute. And the fact that an 18 yr old put it all together on a shoe-string budget makes it even more impressive. Bravo, Ms. Curiel!

That is nice of you to admit it, especially given the negativity about the video and in general on this site.

Your comment made me go and rewatch the video, and I also started to see my own initial reaction changing and appreciating the video more after watching it a couple more times.
I didn't hate it to start with, just didn't get the connection between the song and the video. I also read a Danielle Curiel interview where she explained the concept a bit. So kudos to her indeed. Gutsy girl.
