Ummmm...it isn't his song. It was written by Thom Bell and Linda Creed.

And it is an awesome song.

Well, I'm quite aware that he didn't write it, but he performed it, so I still don't see anything wrong with saying it's "one of his songs." I could have been more specific and stated that "It's one of the worst songs he's ever recorded" but it doesn't seem necessary. Either way, it's an appallingly bad track, to me. I have a friend who still refuses to take Prince seriously as an artist based on that track, and it's hard to blame him in a way. If that was my first exposure to Prince, I wouldn't have wanted to explore his music further.

But again, I'm glad that you like it and that we all have different tastes.
