Update: Thanks everyone for the positive response so far. We've been biting our tongues for a few weeks now trying to keep this underwraps. It has definitely been a fun time for us putting this all together.

Can't believe you didn't plug the Sydney House Opera idea, but in fairness I would've either been speechless or my foot would've been in my mouth. GREAT show and I'm happy you both got to meet the purple yoda! Now about that peach & black t-shirt....

Prince contacting U to experience him speaks a lot on how he feels about your show. He must really dig it. Everytime listen to your show. always imagined how Prince would feel if he heard it. Especially the B-side shows. Because U guys are really good knowledgeable fans that represent us well. U asked him all the questions that wanted to know his answer to. He cleared a lot up.

Kudos to u for representing us well & not like the nasty catty fans that are the majority on here...

Several things were revealed and/or confirmed. Including:

• 30-year revert of ownership applies to Prince's catalog and not 35 as previously speculated

• Prince now owns the masters to For You, Prince and Dirty Mind (this explains out-of-print status - get them while you can)

• First 6 albums are already remastered, which includes the ones he owns now

• Regularly meets with WB about back catalog - seems to blame WB turnover on hold-up (I ain't buying that)

• 20TEN Deluxe is definite go and will contain extended versions as well as extra songs

• No Montreux DVD

• New album in 2011 with Tal Wilkenfeld and Chris Colman providing rhythm on some cuts

• And more...

I was wondering why Prince has never mentioned the ownership of his first three albums until now.

For all the years he banged on about owning his mastertapes and having the right to his own music, you would think that when he did finally receive possession of his music that he would be shouting it from the rooftops.

Or maybe he is waiting till he takes possession of them all?

I just thought it may have been something that he would have wanted to announce in some way, like officially.

But then again, he don't exactly do things.......normally.

Thanks so much for the recap! I think I came off a little harsh in my post, didn't mean to. Those guys are doing a bang-up job, I just don't have the time in my day to listen to these things!
