Not what you said. You said they had no success after Mike left, which would be in 1984. That's at least 5 or 6 years for Jermaine at least, up until the Don't Take It Personal album in 1989. The last album he released in 1991 had a couple of songs hit the Top 30 on the R&B chart. Then he didn't release another album until a couple of years ago, which was jazz standards. He just released a new song You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. Chaka was coked out just like an overwhelming majority of Rockers, R&B singers, Jazz musicians and rappers back in the 70's, 80's, 90's and today. Vesta only toured with Chaka during the 1983-1984 "Chaka Khan" tour. And I have never heard anyone say Chaka lipsynced during any tour. I've been to dozens of her shows since the 80's and her vocals were always 100% live. I know people who have been going to see Chaka shows since 1973. I've heard Chaka is awful voice but she never performed to a pre-recorded vocal track to cover it up. I have NEVER heard Janet sing live. Everytime it's a lipsync. I know you're all bent out of shape because you are a Janet fan. I enjoy Janet also. But anyone comparing Janet and Chaka in any way, shape or form is like comparing apples to oranges. Janet will still be on tour next May when she turns 50, when she comes back here again. Which I will be attending again..Janet has had a very successful recording career for over 30 YEARS! She has actually been more successful than Chaka. Also an accomplished actress with FOUR NUMBER #1 MOVIES under her belt. Chaka has only danced on "Dancing with The Stars" which she was recently booted off.. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! Since 1973,she has been one of the greatest singers in the funk/R&B world.She has influenced numerous other female artists (Mary J.
