And since 1983, every one of Madonna's studio albums have gone at least top 10. I know Janet fans like to pretend those pre-Control albums don't exist, or aren't as relevant as what came after 1986, but I don't. All that aside, the bottom line is that Damita Jo and 20 Y.O. didn't reach the summit, and the fact remains that Madonna has eight number one albums to Janet's six. Madonna's albums (and singles) chart history has ultimately been better than Janet's...and Janet was out first.
