The song list is coming this Sunday! biggrin

By that time I will be halfway browsing the Dutch Top 40 site. 1990 brought already me 29 songs, of which I am going to list at least 20.

I mean, Ice Ice Baby is on there. As is Beverly Craven. Hehehe.

This one WILL make the cut, though;

Man, if you're also including european pop, then your list is gonna be GREAT: Hijo de la Luna is a classic in my eyes nod

Hah, I'm going through the incredibly long process of ranking every single album I own from the 90s by year first. dead Then I'll just pick the top albums from each year for the comprehensive decade list. Three more years to go (97-99) and then I'm finished.

I haven't even started ranking yet; the Dutch Top 40 site delivers SO many oversights (the one-hit-wonder variety) that I have to wade through that to be complete.

Anyway, it's surprising (and irritating) how absolutely CRAPPY songs (like Shor Dick Man or Spaceman ) actually made the nº1 in many countries all over the world...It's also shocking that wonderful songs like 7 Seconds, for example, made the nº1 in Europe but didn't charted in the USA... confused

Moonbeam, I'll send you the list this night or tomorrow wink

Many of the "Gay" classics are usually 5-star singles for the radio nod I mean, like in every genre, there are some embarrassingly campy misfires here and there, but when the artist is focused, the single becomes pure gold for the radio (ex: Cher's Believe)...In fact, I wish current pop music was gayer nod smile

The fact that you got so many gay songs made me think you might be gay as well. If so, we (The Gay Mafia) need pictures.

The ranking is what it's all about! Jeez!

Talking about surprises; an artist that is not high on my wishlist made a song that I never gotten around to adding to my collection, but hearing it again just made me crack up in pieces...

This is a top tenner.

Well, I THOUGHT that the final ranking (final results) would be based on how many times a song has been voted or selected...if so, I was wrong lol

Anyway, due to this thread I've remembered old songs that I had forgotten ; I guess I'll make a fine 8-CD compilation of 90's hits... smile

Oh yes, on the 00s poll, #1 songs in ranked lists were guaranteed a spot in the final top 100 and their own post with youtube link even if those songs only got the one vote.
