It would be like him to release Revelation and it not to be on the album. Which wouldn't be a bad thing, the more new songs the better.

At the moment it looks like a real low key release. AOA and Plec were the same but he did do SNL, which was cool I thought.

But you know Prince views this as his BLK/Albums Matter/Ownership Matters statement. With this exclusive, he's investing in different ways. My guess is he doesn't make that much from record sales to begin with and can well afford whatever risk he's taking.

i think at this stage, his albums don't really make him enough money to actually

matter a lot to him, his money is in touring and probably royalties (?)

i'm stil inclined to believe that he's actually gone to Tidal because he like the idea

behind the whole venture and wants to show support. maybe he got a big advance

maybe he didn't. i'd like to think they did pay him but he just paid his band with it

or whatever.

he's got overhead and what not but if he had to support his lifetstyle and his whole

'empire' from the sales of his new albums, he'd be broke, so he's got his money in

the bank and his income from other sources. albums are just because he can't stop

recording and wants to nurture new people and ventures. that's what i'd like to
think anyway

i can't keep up with these things
