Why should Peterson be suspended? He hasn't been convicted of anything. He is guilty until proven innocent.

If America sucks so bad for you, you should move to another country. Either that, or quit whining and actually try to make a difference.

As it stands now, you're not part of the solution so that makes you the problem.

omg disbelief Please tell me that you're not implying that Gray should "go back to Africa". Whatever happen to "go the hell to Canada", so it wouldn't sound too insensitive in the political correct days we're living in?

I think it's because of the discussion about cultural difference but they interviewed whites from the South who said they grew up with the same kind of discipline method/whoopings that Peterson apparently did.

Oh, so it's NOT a racial issue. It crosses all racial lines.

Of course it crosses all cultural lines. nod It's not just Joseph Jackson. George Osmond used to believe in spankings too.

This guy is clearly talented enough to play in the NFL but has been out of a job for almost a year. He's never been charged with a crime, or even sued. His suspension was lifted in February, but no one will hire him. But I don't hear Graycap taking up his case, for some reason that I can't quite put my finger on...........

I'm amazed at how many people like to say "everything" is about race when Graycap is involved but then you guys are the ones saying "everything" way more than he ever has. It's a tactic used to snuff out discussions about race because you say, "Oh here you go again blaming EVERYTHING on race!". I don't think Graycap misses a red light and blames it on race. Good grief.

You know good and well that no one in here is trying to "snuff out discussions about race", that's what P&R is for. I will happily join you and Graycap over there to discuss any racial aspects you see fit about it but this particular discussion had nothing to do with race until Graycap brought it up and regardless to what he wants to believe, the concern we're discussing about Adrian Peterson beating his four year old son to a whelped up bloody mess has nothing to do with his race. It is NOT RIGHT to do that to a child, PERIOD!

Yeah so why did the thread about race in p&r a few months ago get locked for no reason when there was nothing that violated the rules? No mudsligging, name calling or objectionable language was used. Some of us refer to the entire website when we say "forum" so please don't split hairs about what lands in General Discussion or what doesn't. Thanks.

This guy here? A lot of questions could be asked about his case but the main thing is we don't even know him. The reason we don't know him is because the media didn't make it a cause celeb like they always seem to do when black people do things. Mel Gibson knocks his wife's teeth out, yet out of all the negative publicity he recieved I don't recall a whole domestic violence campaign garnered against him. It was almost treated like a joke (Oh listen to Mel Gibson scream crazily into the phone). I think people are just used to this happening so they don't even think twice about it. I'm not saying anyone here isn't concerned for the child's welfare, but i think people have learned to have aggressive knee-jerk reactions about "violent black men". I'm waiting to see who the next silly black man is that hasn't learned the game.

So there are two narratives here. One is the obvious one of a child that was spanked a bit too severly. The other narrative is the other side, the one only certain people notice because they see the punishment is getting too severe. He has to be banned for life. Hopefully bankrupt and starving on the street for those with a particular bloodlust. Where they do that at?

Usually when a certain white person (NOT meaning Rodeo!) tells an black person the classic "if you don't like America...." slogan, it's usually means that the black person complaining should "go the f*** back to Africa".

the child was not "spanked a BIT too severly"... this type of language that downplays what happened to this kid is beyond ignorant

people in this thread showed concern for this child... and were told their concern was fake... that's unacceptable

how the american media portrays these stories isn't the issue in this thread, in this forum

we see a child that has been beaten and have no right to voice our disgust because of racism in the media?

if this was a white family, my response would have been exactly the same... i have every right to respond that way, without being told my concern is fake because the family is black

Interesting. As the wife of a huge NFL football fan, I seem to recall my knowing of who Richie Incognito is because of the man to his left in this picture...

Whose name is Jonathan Martin...yet, I can't seem to recall any rallying behind him...here on the Org. hmmm

personally on this thread i never, ever saw Gray say anything other than what he said, and in my opinion he is not trying to 'make it all about race'.

imo he's just venting his sense of injustice. the fact that RodeoSchro has been aggressively accusing him of racism has, ironically, jacked the thread far more off track than anything Gray ever said. typical.

remember all those threads Gray used to create before he left the Org for so long? threads about ancient aliens, chemtrails, illuminati and etc?

and remember how Rodeo showed up on every single one of those threads (rather than avoid topics he personally hated as i kept urging cussing at him to do smile ) and attacked Gray's posting style, choice of topic, and even Gray himself at times? anyone? this is all searchable.

so sadly, i think the underlying issue *is* about race, but not in the way it would seem here, on the surface.*

* this has been the summarization of one individual's personal observations and conclusions arising from events that have taken place here at prince.org. no generalized standard of behavior, social norm, cultural pattern, economic cluster characterization, nor personality disorder is implied nor inferred, and all resemblances to real people, living, dead, in suspended animation or undead, is intended. thank you, that is all.

No - YOU don't know him. Trust me, everyone that follows the NFL does, as well as pretty much anyone that watches the news or reads news websites.

falloff You must live under a rock. Richie Incognito's story was on every major newscast, and RULED the sports websites for about a month.

So did Mel Gibson - both in his domestic violence case, and when he went on his anti-Jew rant.

Tony, I'll happily tell you I wasn't implying that, nor did that thought ever cross my mind. As far as I know, Graycap is an American, so I wouldn't be telling him to go back to anywhere.

It's obvious Graycap hates America. All he ever does is bitch about it. You know that's true. So my feeling is, if he hates this country so much, why not leave? Certainly he must know of a better place that would make him happier. Why he stays in the USA, when it obviously causes him so much pain and strife, is a real mystery.

I have no idea if he'd like Canada, or anywhere, so I didn't mention any country. That part is up to him.

Now, I will happily expect your affirmation of understanding, because I know you are that kind of man!

Oh, I agree that Incognito is a dick, and I've played enough guys like him to know that nope - wouldn't want him on my team.

But let's expand your statement: Would you want a man (of any skin color) known to bully his own teammates/wife/kids to play for your football team? neutral

I'm not sure if you saw it, but within a couple days of Ray Rice's wife-beating video surfacing, the entire Baltimore Ravens team disowned him and abandoned him. THAT is why he was released. His teammates didn't want him around.

where in the hell did you read that in what Greg said? This thread needs to die a quick death.

Usually when a certain white person (NOT meaning Rodeo!) tells an black person the classic "if you don't like America...." slogan, it's usually means that the black person complaining should "go the f*** back to Africa".

@RodeoSchro.....my apologies only to you Rodeo. As a concern "friendemy", I was only trying to help you choose your words carefully.

Sorry, Tony - I responded to your first post before I read this one.

Thank you for the kind words. I continue to admire you boundlessly!

However, thank you also for pointing out the part about what Get out of America" usually means to a black person. You are entirely right, and I can certainly see where some could misinterpret that. But I am eternally grateful you knew better in my case!
