I know this is late, doh! but it was a closeout game, so I gotta post this.

Western Conference Playoffs, Conference Semifinals

Game 5

Memphis Grizzlies 88 Oklahoma City Thunder 84

Oklahoma City spent the entire season preparing for a return to the NBA Finals, and they edged out the San Antonio Spurs to gain home court advantage through the Western Conference Finals. Unfortunately for OKC, Russell Westbrook went down with a season-ending knee injury, and the team was simply not the same. Kevin Durant did all he could to carry the Thunder without his teammate, and for most of the playoffs he was the offense.

But last night, despite the Thunder's efforts down the stretch, Durant fizzled out under the weight of expectations. He would score 21 points in this game but shot only 5 for 21 from the floor. Memphis would grab a 14 point lead and led by 12 at the half, thanks to the efforts of Zach Randolph, who scored 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, and Mike Conley Jr., who scored 13 points with 11 assists and seven rebounds. The Thunder would cut into the Grizzlies lead and trail by just two points, but Memphis would go on a 12-2 run to start the fourth quarter. OKC would make one final desperate run and cut their deficit to just two points with 14 seconds remaining. Serge Ibaka led the final comeback with 17 points before fouling out with 1:23 left in the game, and Reggie Jackson addded 16 points. Zach Randolph would be fouled and miss both of his free throws with 11 seconds remaining, thus giving OKC one last chance to tie or win the game. But Kevin Durant would miss a 16 foot jumper with six seconds remaining, and the Grizzlies would hold on to claim vcitory. Memphis now awaits the winner of the Spurs/Warriors series in the Western Conference Finals while OKC wonders what could have been had Russell Westbrook not gotten injured.

Memphis wins series 4-1.

Eastern Conference Playoffs, Conference Semifinals

Game 5

Indiana Pacers 75 New York Knicks 85

The Knicks faced elimination tonight but did not want to lose in front of their home crowd. Meanwhile, the Pacers were looking to close out this series, but they would have to do it without George Hill, who was scratched from the game due to a concussion. But the Knicks would prevail in this game, leading all the way through, though never quite able to put the Pacers away offensively. Carmelo Anthony led all scorers with 26 points, but they got huge contributions off the bench from J.R. Smith, who scored 13 poiints, and Chris Copeland, who scored 13 points thanks to shooting 3 of 4 from behind the 3 point line. Paul George led Indiana with 23 points while David West added 17 points and 10 rebounds, but it was the Knicks defense that forced some critical turnovers down the stretch that preserved the victory and allowed New York to fight another day. The Pacers now look to close out this series at home while the Knicks look to extend this to a seventh game.

Indiana leads series 3-2.

I've been on record for 10 years. At least here.

The Spurs terrify me.

Whenever they get this deep, watch out.

And IIRC, Big Fundy and Pop have never lost in the NBA Finals.

It's not exactly like they're an underdog on paper, but I say Spurs in 6. They won't let MEM push them around again.

Eastern Conference Playoffs, Conference Semifinals

Game 6

New York Knicks 99 Indiana Pacers 106

This game was a frenzied offesnive affair for most of the contest, with Carmelo Anthony going on a tear early for the Knicks, while at the same time the Pacers were led by Lance Stephenson, Paul Gerorge, and Roy Hibbert. The Pacers would grab an eight point lead at the half, but in the third quarter the Knicks would storm back thanks to Carmelo Anthony and Iman Shumpert, who scored 17 points in that quarter thanks to three 3 pointers. The Knicks would go into the fourth quater with the game tied, but then Indiana's defense would take over along with some costly poor shooting and fouls by the Knicks. The Pacers went on a tear thanks to Lance Stephenson, who scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the game, including a couple of critical boards and a steal which led to a fast break jumper and foul. Carmelo Anthony scored 39 points in this game but scored only four points in the fourth quarter. In addition, both Tyson Chandler and Kenyon Martin fouled out early, which led Indiana to drive to the hoop down the stretch. Roy Hibbert was the big beneficiary, as he scored 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Paul George added 23 points and David West added 17 points. J.R. Smith scored 15 points for the Knicks but agains struggled from the floor, making only four out of 15 shots from the court.

The Pacers now go on to the Eastern Conference Finals to face the Miami Heat, who they beat twice in three contests this season, but which came early in the season.

Indiana wins series 4-2.

They need another scorer, one who will compliment Melo.

The also need to size. I can't for the life of me figure out, how the "Defensive Player Of The Year", gets fouled out! Which leads me to asked another question, where was Marcus Camby? He only played 12mins in this series and then disappeared. They could have surely used him, for his size.

Western Conference Finals

Game 1

Memphis Grizzlies 83 San Antonio Spurs 105

The Grizzlies got on the board first in this game, but then San Antonio went on a huge run in the first quater and never looked back, turning this game into a rout. The Spurs led by as much as 17 points in the first quarter thanks to torrid shooting by Tony Parker, Danny Green, and Matt Bonner, who scored 12 points in the game thanks to four 3 point shots. More importantly, they completely shot down Zach Randolph, who scored only two points on one for eight shooting from the court. The Grizzlies would cut the Spurs lead to six points in the second quarter, but San Antonio went on another run and cruised to victory. Tony Parker led the Spurts with 20 points and nine assists while Kawhi Leonard added 18 points and Danny Green added 16 points. Qunicy Pondexter led the Grizzlies with 17 points while Marc Gasol added 15 points and seven rebounds and Mike Conley Jr. added 14 points.

San Antonio leads series 1-0.

Short nailed it. Knicks need more beef up front, a young, fast point guard and a consistent, RELIABLE number 2 scorer. J.R Smith showed he's not ready for prime time.

The team was built to beat the Heat. Unfortunately, it wasn't built for a long playoff run. 'Melo doesn't distribute consistently, and J.R. Smith . . . amazing talent, but the less said about him the better.

Until Melo's game matures (scary thought for a 10-season vet) and Stoudemire's contract comes off the books, the Knicks can't be a reliable contender.

Eastern Conference Finals

Game 1

Indiana Pacers 102 Miami Heat 103 F/OT

What an unbelievable finish! eek shocked After it appeared that the Pacers had the game locked up for victory, the Heat end the game with a dramatic game-wining layup by who else....Lebron James.

In fact, this game had a few dramatic moments. But it started out somewhat like Miami's last series against the Chicago Bulls, as the Heat came out flat after having a week off to wait for their next ooponent. Indiana came out fresher and dominated the boards early and took a six point lead at the half. But Miami would come back, sparked by the "Birdman" off the bench, Chris Andersen, who would score 16 points for the game on a perfect 7 for 7 shooting from the floor, along with grabbing five rebounds and blocking three shots. Dwyane Wade would score 19 points for the Heat while Chris Bosh added 17 points. But they were led by Lebron James, who had a triple double with 30 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. (More on him later.)

But the Pacers refused to go away. They were led by Paul George, who scored 27 points, David West, who scored 26 points, and Roy Hibbert, who scored 19 points along with grabbing nine rebounds. But the biggest action began near the end of the fourth quarter, with the Heat leading by three, Paul George hit a clutch 3 point shot to tie the game with just .7 seconds left in regulation. In the overtime period the game went back and forth, and with Miami leading by two points with 10 seconds left, Paul George fumbled his dribble on the inbound pass, leading to a near turnover in the back court; however, George Hill came away with the ball and passed it off to Paul George, who was inexplicably fouled by Dwayne Wade as he was shooting the desperation 3 pointer with 2.2 seconds left in overtime. Then Paul George hit three clutch free throws to give Indiana the lead.

But these moments are made for superstars, and Lebron James took the inbound pass and sped past Paul George down the lane to make an uncontested layup as time expired, giving Miami the dramatic game one victory.

Miami leads series 1-0.

Eastern Conference Finals

Game 2

Indiana Pacers 97 Miami Heat 93

In the first game, Lebron James gave the Heat a dramatic victory after Lebron James drove to the basket to make the game-winning layup. What was notable about that moment was the absence of Roy Hibbert in the post, who presumably would have played defense and made his shot more difficult, but he instead sat on the bench with five fouls. Pacers' coach Frank Vogel said afterward that he made a mistake in not having him on the floor at that decisive moment, and he would make sure he would not make that same mistake again.

And in this game he kept his promise. Roy Hibbert would lead the Pacers with 29 points and 10 rebounds, and the Pacers took control of this game for the most part, though Miami would have its moments thanks to their big three. Lebron James scored 36 points for the Heat while grabbing eight rebounds, dishing out three assists and making three steals, while Chris Bosh added 17 points and Dwayne Wade added 14 points. But it was the Pacers who would have the balanced attack, as Paul George scored 22 points, George Hill scored 18 points, and David West scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds. And it was the Pacers defense in the closing minutes that would force two critical turnovers by Lebron James to seal the victory, in part because Roy Hibbert was guarding the low post and forced Lebron to attempt to pass the ball out, which were both deflected and stolen. The series now heads to Indiana, where the Pacers have not lost during these playoffs.

Series tied at 1-1.

Western Conference Finals

Game 3

San Antonio Spurs 104 Memphis Grizzlies 93 F/OT

After losing the first two games in San Antonio in close fashion, the Grizzlies were hioping to rebound at home. They got off to an explosive start, leading by as much as 18 points in the first quarter. But the Spurs wouold methodically get themselves back in the game, thanks to Tim Duncan, whoi would score 24 points in the game along with grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out five assists, and Tony Parker, who scored 26 points in this game. Manu Ginobili also added 19 points for the Spurs, and by the fourth quarter San Antonio would even take the lead in this game. But Memphis would make it a back and forth affair in the fourth quarter, with Mike Conley Jr. scoring 20 points and Marc Gasol adding 16 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Zach Randolph also added 14 points while grabbing 15 rebounds. The Grizzlis had the opportunity to win the game at the end of regulation, but Mike Conley Jr's runner to the basket went wide, thus forcing overtime.

But it was in overtime where the Spurs took control, with Tim Duncan scoring the first five points of the extra period and Tony Parker sealing the victory. San Antonio now takes a commanding lead in this series and could book their first trip to the NBA Finals since 2007 as early as Monday night.

San Antonio leads series 3-0.

Eastern Conference Finals

Game 3

Miami Heat 114 Indiana Pacers 96

The Miami Heat were looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss in game two while the Indiana Pacers looked to get some home court advantage. And in the first quarter, both teams came out balzing, playing back and forth at a high level and scring at will. Unfortunately for Indiana, they would be unable to keep up the pace, and Miami would eventually blow by them. Miami shot a torrid 54.5% from the court ands scored a franchise record 70 points in the first half. Lebron James led the Heat with 22 points, but he got a lot of help from his teammates in this game, as Dwyane Wade scored 18 points with eight assists, Udonis Haslem added 17 points and seven rebounds, Chris Bosh added 15 points, Mario Chalmers added 14 points, and Chris Andersen added nine points off the bench with a perfect 4 for 4 shooting from the court. David West led the Pacers with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Roy Hibbert scored 20 points and grabbed 17 rebounds. Paul George finished with 13 points and eight assists, but it was not nearly enough to keep the Pacers undefeated at home in the postseason.

Miami leads series 2-1.

Western Conference Finals

Game 4

San Antonio Spurs 93 Memphis Grizzlies 86

The San Antonio Spurs were looking to sweep this series tonight, and they came out on fire, shooting 74% from the field in the first half. But the Grizzles refused to go away, and they would make one last stand to get back into the game, getting within two points in the final minute of the game. But it simply wasn't enough for Memphis, and it certainly wasn't enough to stop Tony Parker, who scored 37 points in this game including 25 points in the second half. Tim Duncan scored 15 for the Spurs while grabbing eight rebounds and blocking four shots, while Kawhi Leonard added 11 points and got five steals. Quincy Pondexter led the Grizzlies with 22 points while Marc Gasol added 14 points and Zach Randolph added 13 points. But it's the Spurs who take the Western Conference title and head into the NBA Finals which is scheduled to begin on June 6th.

San Antonio wins series 4-0.

The Spurs are healthier than they've been at any point since they won their last title. Funny how Tony Parker was left for dead months ago.

I know Spurs fans may say, "nobody believed in us!" They can spare us that; they've been 1 of the best 3 teams in the league from wire to wire. But they did surprise with the ease of their WCF win v. Memphis.

SA is deep enough to go toe-to-toe the Heat and they have Big Fundy.

But they have no answer for LeBron James. They can't defend him, and he can take Ginobili out of the series.

If IND finds a way to win the ECF, then they might as well stitch their ECF banner and call it a season, because they'd get what MEM got.

A dynasty and potential dynasty may make the NBA Finals appointment television. These Spurs have never lost in the NBA Finals and the Heat are the defending champs. Would love to see that matchup.

Im so happy for my babies... the Spurs. The Spurs are gonna smash. I actually wouldnt mine Indiana losing because Spurs gonna spank who ever they play. Miami hasnt played a real team. Tired of their arrogant overrated asses. They not all of that. I do like Wade though.

It would be interesting if Indiana won the series but not to sure if they will. They should have won the first game (contrary to what the bullshit espn is saying). Indiana has given Miami a run for their money, they not punking out like the Thunder. It really should be 2-1 for Indiana. I hope they win tonight to tie the series up.

Still Heat salty. lol

Oh let's not bs the people. There is nothing overrated about LeBron James.

You just don't know which Spurs team is gonna show up. At times they play old

and ugly where they only score 16 points a quarter and sometimes they can be

a well oiled machine and look good. The Spurs big 3 will have to have a great series

mainly Duncan and Ginobli. You know Parker will show.
