My husband. And I absolutely hate his taste in music too. He likes whatever is the most popular right now. Remember the Billboard Awards, and how for the most part the only tolerable parts were the first (Bruno Mars) and the last (Prince) performances? My husband liked all the parts in the middle! He doesn't care for Mars and hates Prince, and didn't care for those two acts in the middle who played real guitars. Yup, that's how bad it is between us. | |

Most of the people I work with. They're pretty much all twenty years younger than me (I'm 42), and they're all of the "is it popular??? I LIKE IT!!!" mentality.
This one dude in particular really gets up my nose... he has one Dylan song and one Beatles song on his iPod, as if he read a blog somewhere that said, "Want to look like you're music-saavy? Have these 30 songs on your iPod!"
The shit I've played around the workplace that has just sailed over everyone's heads...
There's hope, though: this one girl... anytime I put on Coltrane, she won't go away! |
