Well, I recently re-watched her last interview with Whitney and I thought she did a great job.
It seems a bit soon, but I will be watching this. "Be glad for what you had baby, what you've got..." |

Bobbi Kris is a teenager, Oprah is an old pro. I wouldn't trust her.
The show on Michael after he died was just an old rehashed interview from the early nineties. She asked him in the original interview about skin bleaching, plastic surgery, & asked him if he was a virgin. Oprah opened some old wounds by showing that, and this was after he died. I thought it would be a tribute show, and that's what it wasn't. She was still mad years later that Michael told her to read his book. She was making little snide remarks saying who's rocking with you, and said Michael got testy during his interview. Oprah came to the Neverland interview unprepared, no questions, but had an entourage for hair and makeup. Priorities people. I don't know why Oprah replayed that raggedy interview after Michael died, it wasn't even good the first time. Oprah remembering Michael was a lot about her, and what she was feeling while interviewing Michael.

I never said Oprah was perfect. I said she was doing her job. And quite well, I will add. And let's not forget that those she interviews are willing participants. Believe me, no one is waking up with a bloody microphone in their bed.
I will concede that this is not the case with MJ's kids though. They were victims of their guardians. And I do agree that that particular interview was a bit weird. But grown folks, please! They are more than happy to be interviewed by Oprah.
The devil is a liar... I am no sell out and I rather go to someone who is sincerely interested in interviewing me not to cash in on my mothers passing... nope Whitney passed away LAST month for crying out loud... damn Ofah

Ain't the point that it's Oprah doing it. It's the point Oprah did it not even a MONTH after Whitney has been dead and gone. If you gonna do an interview, wait a few months or maybe hell, maybe a full year. Not a month afterwards. |

Oprah's demographic is some mini van driving soccer moms, I don't appeal to that crowd anyway Her OWN network is the most boring thing put on tv. No wonder they're scrambling for viewers. Not fooling me...O's trying to profit from tragedy and sensationalism interviewing these these people after a parent has died. |

The young black correspondent that covered MJ passing on CNN did a very GOOD job and he seemed really sincere about the family and how certain things were depicted. He would have been GREAT for this. Bobbi needs someone that is really going to be sincere not on some bullshit. I really would like to see a very thoughful interview not no Hollywood bullshit that Oprah is going to do... Oprah is a horrible interviewer, no class, fake, phoney and a bitch cant stand her uncle tom angie momma ass. |

Totally agree. I think everyone needs to realize the power of the word "No." It is not as is BK has no one in her life to tell her it is too soon to do the interview. She could have said NO to Oprah. The truth is, if it were not Oprah, it would be someone else becuase CLEARLY folks in Whitney's camp are ready to cash in. |

Now you know this is MUCH bigger than a check... this has to do with her influence, manipulation and the bullshit she spews. Oprah doesnt care about the money, she wants ratings and that cross over validation. |

Nah. Its just some of the commnets and opinions are over the top. (imho)
The interview Ms. Winfrey did with Ms. Houston couldn't and wouldn't cover the interest Winfrey makes on her billion dollar fortune daily. That interview would have been a piss in the ocean moneterily. Since we all are going to be cycnical about motivates here, Ms. Houston interview with Winfrey was just as self-serving. Houston was attempting a comeback, pushing an album, and attempting to clean up an image. She was going to have to grant someone an interview, as Chancellor mentioned. Seriously if not with Winfrey than with whom, Wendy Williams or Diane Sawyer?
Who knows why Bobbie Kristina has granted an interview or what she wants to talk about. If you feel that strongly about Ms. Winfrey and/or some of Ms. Houston's relatives trying to cash in, don't watch. Low ratings problems solved.....
Of course if you don't watch than you can't bitch about what you just watched.

Oh no, don't get me wrong. I believe Oprah is definitely benefiting in this deal. The OWN network is struggling and this will boost ratings tremendously. I'm just saying that Oprah is not the only person driving this interview. Don't think for a moment that Bobbi Kristina did not discuss the possibility of this interview with her family, including Whitney's mother. Out of those conversations/negotiations, this interview emerged. And that's Oprah's fault??? |

She's trying to keep that boring network on the air. She was recently Tweeting during the Oscars asking people to tune into to her network, especially if they had a Neilson box. That's against the rules. Obviously Oprah is thirsty for viewers. |

Bobbi Kris is young, & already struggling with some issues. Has it even been a month since the death of her mother? The girl is still grieving. Oprah didn't even have a close relationship with her own mother. Maybe things like this are hard for her to understand. |

No what it seems like is half the people in this thread are naive... this has NOTHING to do with Michael. Ofah has done countless interviews with many people Janet, Whitney, Tom, Lisa, Jordan and etc it was nothing but sensationalize drama and her spinning the interview questions to her own agenda. |

According to an OWN news release, Bobbi Kristina will share "personal memories of her mom and how she would like the iconic superstar to be remembered. The family also addresses the rumors and speculation surrounding Houston's death."
Reading this again, I bet Bobbi wants to make one short statement for her mother, and that's it. For some reason, I doubt she'll be on camera more than 10 minutes, if that long. I have a feeling Gary and Patricia will probably handle the bulk of the interview. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash.
