If anything, Michael Jackson's personal life has increased my interest for his music. A sensitive, sweet human being. You don't get that too often these days.

Agreed.

you guys and your blind loyalty. Overwhelming evidence that this "sweet human being" was a sexual menace to young boys. I cannot understand for one minute why you feel the need to defend him. What about his victims. If the same stories were coming to light about your neighbour would you be so forgiving?

Really surprised that nobody's mentioned her so far! Just when I was starting to like her, the drama started to surface about her being a "homewrecker"...

That's tricky territory though. Should we just write her off as a homewrecker? Or did Swiss Beatz manipulate her into being with him, insisting it's over with the other woman? It's very easy to get drawn into that too. After all, he allegedly cheated as well. But I would be feeling guilty if I was her too and want to get away from all of it, but it becomes learned helplessness overtime, and I'm sure having a child with him doesn't make it easier for her, no matter how much money she has.

Gary Glitter feeling ill

I was never into him at all but after hearing about what he was doing, that made it easier for me to diss him as a joke in the music industry. He shouldn't even be mentioned in the often short but talented list of glam rock legends. He's not worth it to tie David Bowie's or Marc Bolan's platinum platform boots. neutral

His music was huge in the UK and although I wouldn't class myself as a fan as he was a bit before my time, I have memories of singing songs like 'I'm the leader of the gang' in the school playground and being fascinated by his appearance on TV. Growing up I started exploring the back catalogues of the likes of Bowie and T-Rex but not Glitter. I know people say you should separate the man from the music but I can't with him.

Ever since The Eminem Show he hasn't been the same to me. Encore was horrible and I didn't even buy the ones that came after.

Co-sign this to the point that i wouldnt even consider myself a fan anymore

I agree that he sucked after the Eminem Show/8 Mile era. I just liked Toy Soldiers and only slighty Love The Way You Lie-pt. 2 since

Agreed.

for me, Jackson's personal life made me "rediscover" his music in the early 00s, I mean, knowing how he really was (with his extreme flaws but also his extreme strenghts) tracks like She's Out of My Life, Can't Help It, Wanna Be Startin' Something, Billie Jean, Bad, Leave Me Alone, Dirty Diana, Smooth Criminal, Who Is It, Gone Too Soon, Why U Wanna Trip On Me, They Don't Care About Us, Stranger in Moscow, etc are A LOT more powerful & fascinating, both lyrically and musically...

Don't you think it's a little fucked up and unfair to blame just her? Isn't Swizz Beats also responsible for his own decisions? She didn't put a gun to his head and force him to leave his wife. It's a decision that he made on his own. It's obvious that Swizz Beats has committment issues as he seems to be cheating on her as well. Only Swizz Beats truly knows how many women he's cheated on in his whole entire life.

I mean...what is this? Biblical times and the woman is the evil temptress?

nod

I don't have strong opinions on Sheryl Crow or Alicia just because I have no idea what went on in their relationships and I'm not too attached to their music to care.

You put a lot more energy into your response than I put into mine, geez, if you think that then cool but seriously relax smile Technically, isn't Swizz a producer and not an "artist" so in the semantics game, seems like I win again *eyeroll* smile

The moment I found out that R.Kelly once urinated on an underage girl that he once had sexual relations with, I find it impossible listening to any tracks from the 12 Play album.

True story.

I don't get it. It's more acceptabe for a grown man to marry a 14 year old girl rather than to piss on a 14 year old girl?!?!?! Would it have been better for him to have pissed on a 14 year old girl he was married to?

Don't put words in my mouth. I never said THAT^. R.Kelly doing a sex tape with underage girls is very bad, not to mention very illegal since it counts as child pornograhy.

Ive never seen the R.Kelly sex tape.... I was probably 8 when it came out... Is it really R. Kelly on the tape?? Some say it is... I heard Kels tried to blame it on his brother ...

I knew of some people that watch that (illegal) sex tape that was on the internet for a while and all of them agree that it was definitely R.Kelly.

No argument there. nod However, it takes two to commit an act of adultery. Swiss Beats knew that he was still technically a married man and he still wanted to be with Alicia.

T.I. aka TIP Harris aka Rubberband Man

His multiple arrests and incarceration and the small brain he shares with baby momma turned wifey Tiny has left me feeling some kind of way, mostly disbelief

I simply cannot tolerate dumb rappers, especially those who have kids, repeating the same mistakes over and over and then preaching to the masses about making wise choices in life. confused

This fool has admitted to having threesomes and now he claims to be working on a book on how to making relationships work? For real dawg? rolleyes

And I love how he dons glasses when appearing on talk shows as if that somehow makes him appear more educated and articulate. Kneegrow Please!

I was just wondering why you were more grossed with the fact that he was peeing on an underaged girl rather than marrying an underaged gir. If history has proven anything to us, R.Kelly's always had an affinity for underaged girls. Peeing on them or marrying them...he's always had those issues.

Nope. If I truly liked and respected the person as an artist, then I still get turned on by their music despite what they've done. I either like their music or I don't. It has nothing to do with their personal lives.
