Why I Created This Site!

-----

I shared this with many of you via e-mail or PMs but I did this because I wanted a place where fans can freely express an opinion without having to worry about an agenda being forced upon them.

I want people to be able to enjoy themselves and not have to worry about being banned for asking a question or making a statement that isn't following the majority. We all had these type of these experiecnes. I can tell you I had an experience when I joined a board and I haven't logged on in a long time and the owner sent me this novel long rant in PM about they put their time and effort in the board and how they are pissed off I mean literally almost cussed me out for not logging in for so long.

So trust I know all the horror stories that comes with messageboards. I know about the racism and bias I know about having to conform I been there done that and now this is a different chapter. Yes the end of an era of people trying to make fans into robots. Though I don't agree with how many are ran but I respect the many others that won't conform to such crazy ways and work hard at becoming independent and refusing to jump on the bandwagon.

Please remember though I do give free expression I only ask that you respect everyone on board and staff which I will be adding soon. I expect the same from my staff to respect each member.

I was tired of people on a power trip losing the focus which is to pay homage to one of the Greatest Entertainers that ever lived. The Rules will be posted and I ask that everyone follow them accordingly.

Michael Jackson-Penned Posthumous Comic Book Drawing Fair Chatter

By Rachel Deahl -- Publishers Weekly

While there was some question as to the foot traffic in the rights center during the first day of the 2009 Frankfurt Book Fair—one American noted the sparse number of occupied mailboxes as a sign that the fair is sluggish while another pointed to full tables as a sign it’s business as usual—a handful of titles were drawing buzz, and some high advances, after the close of day one.

One book generating lots of conversation is a graphic novel project by the King of Pop. Yes, you read that correctly. Apparently Michael Jackson was working on a comic book for years with friend (and son of Deepak) Gotham Chopra and now Random House’s Villard imprint is prepping to release the fruits of this seemingly unlikely collaboration. The book, Fated, is about a Jackson-esque pop icon named Gabriel Star whose fame has left him isolated and emotionally cut-off. After a suicidal swan dive from his hotel one night, Star survives only to see his celebrity grow and discover that he’s becoming, per the publisher, “something not quite human.” No word yet from Random House on foreign sales, but we hear the house is showing bits of the book to foreign houses. The title’s slated for a June 2010 hardcover U.S. release—the art’s black and white and the book is small format—and Mukesh Singh is illustrating.

Janet Jackson has teamed up with her brother Michael from beyond the grave to record a new track for her upcoming greatest hits compilation.
The siblings duetted on hit dance track 'Scream', which also appears on the new Number Ones album, but few fans knew the pair had collaborated on another tune, titled 'Make Me', which will close the two-CD set.
Very little is known about the new track, apart from the fact it was recorded last year.

Jackson's new hits package will be released in November.

New Jackson Albums in the Wings

Posted Oct 13th 2009 1:50PM by TMZ Staff

New Jackson AlbumSources who have heard the unreleased recordings of Michael Jackson say there are at least 2 albums worth of class A songs that will be released over time, and some of them are even better than "This Is It."

We're told many of the songs that will make the cut were written and recorded by Jackson after he left Sony in 2004.

As for "This Is It" -- we're told everyone involved liked the tune but it wasn't the best. As one source said, given the title and the tone, "It was the most appropriate song for the end of the movie."

Remember how before Michael was king, he was a "serious brotha..."

I wish I was alive during those days lol

Seriously though, from the J5 'til his death, he was a contradiction, because how could a guy everyone called an alien and a white woman also be the coolest mother f*cker walking the planet? A haters job is to hate, but I like listening to those old jams and the newer ones and thinking about the cuts that will be released in the future.

When I was growing up, MJ was lauded for his electrifying dance moves and vocal prowess but he was still labeled a "sissy" chiefly because of his high-pitched speaking voice, extreme shyness and the absence of a girlfriend. And that was years before the Vitiligo became evident and the plastic surgery operations altered his appearance.

Jackson Film Scores Sellouts Galore Before Opening
October 15, 2009

Advance sales for "This Is It" look set to make the concert movie starring the late Michael Jackson into one of the hottest tickets of the year.

Two weeks ahead of its opening, the singer's concert movie "This Is It" has generated more than 1,600 sold-out U.S. show times and is the top seller this week at two major online ticket outlets.

That puts "This Is It" in the same territory as next month's highly anticipated "Twilight" sequel "New Moon" and other films that have generated high pre-release sales.

"The pre-sales activity all over the world has been nothing short of extraordinary," Steve Elzer, a spokesman for Sony Corp-owned Columbia Pictures, the studio behind the film, told Reuters.

"But exhibitors have really met the demand by adding screens, and tickets are available for anyone who would want to see it, anytime," Elzer said.

"This Is It" is composed of footage of the "Thriller" singer rehearsing for a series of London comeback concerts just before his unexpected June 25 death, at age 50, from an overdose of powerful medication.

The studio has said the 112-minute movie will have a limited two-week engagement around the world, starting Oct. 28.

Online ticket seller Fandango.com reported that it has sold out more than 1,000 showtimes in the United States for "This Is It" on its site alone. Competing outlet MovieTickets.com said it has generated more than 600 sold out showtimes.

"This Is It" has generated the second highest pre-sales figures of the year for Fandango, just behind forthcoming vampire romance "New Moon," which saw tickets go on sale a month before advance tickets for "This Is It" became available.

Both Fandango and MovieTickets, the two top U.S. online ticket sellers, said "This Is It" is on-pace to become their top concert movie ever.

For now, the 2008 film "Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour" is the biggest concert movie ever for the online ticket sellers. It made more than $70.6 million at worldwide box offices but played in fewer than 700 U.S. theaters.

Sony Pictures, which paid $60 million for the footage of Jackson in the film, is aiming to outpace the "Hannah Montana" movie, as "This Is It" is expected to play on about 3,500 screens in the U.S. and Canada alone.

Aside from that, Sony plans to ship more than 8,500 prints of the film to exhibitors in 75 countries, for a near simultaneous worldwide release of the film.

Sony said last month that international sales for "This Is It" have been particularly strong in Japan and Britain.

Jackson was scheduled to play 50 shows in London starting last July 13. Concert promoter AEG Live was involved in the deal to sell its rehearsal footage to Columbia for the movie, which also benefits Jackson's estate and his family.

This week's cover: An exclusive first look at the new Michael Jackson movie

When tickets for Michael Jackson’s This Is It went on sale on Sept. 27, hundreds of shows around the globe sold out in less than 24 hours, without anyone knowing quite what it even was — a concert movie? A documentary? “It’s somewhere in between,” says Sony Pictures co-chair Amy Pascal of the film, which consists of behind-the-scenes footage of Jackson rehearsing for his planned comeback concerts at London’s O2 arena. “It’s a movie about rehearsing for a concert that never happened. It’s heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time. It gives you chills.”

Now, with the October 28th worldwide release of the movie fast approaching, the late pop star’s collaborators open up about working with Jackson during his precarious last days. At age 50 Jackson hadn’t toured in more than a decade, but while his team worried at times about his health, his imagination was as active as ever.

In fact, as the production got under way, it quickly became clear that Jackson’s creative ambitions for the concerts were beyond anything he’d ever attempted. With the budget already past $24 million, Jackson told his team he wanted to recreate one of the world’s largest waterfalls — Victoria Falls in southern Africa — on the stage. “I was ready to jump off the balcony of my office,” says Randy Phillips, president of the concert promotion firm AEG Live. “We went and met with Michael, and [director] Kenny [Ortega] said, ‘Michael, you’ve got to stop. We’ve got an incredible show, we don’t need any more vignettes.’ Michael said, ‘But Kenny, God channels this through me at night. I can’t sleep because I’m so supercharged.’ Kenny said, ‘But Michael, we have to finish. Can’t God take a vacation?’ Without missing a beat, Michael said, ‘You don’t understand — if I’m not there to receive these ideas, God might give them to Prince.’ ”
